#1 . . . NELLCO is partnering with Ravel for FREE access through Dec.?

#2. . . NELLCO is partnering with WEPA to offer a wireless printing solution for your institution?

In last month's Did you Know, NELLCO asked about your printing services/costs in a one question

#3 . . . Beth Ziesenis, Our Nerdy Best Friend, will be offering our members a webinar series?

Last month I told you about Beth Ziesenis's new book. This month I'm sharing more good news. Beth has agreed to provide a series of 8 webinars in 2015-2016 that will expose attendees to free and low cost technology solutions. It is expected that the series will begin in Nov. and run through March.

A few months back we surveyed the memberships of NELLCO, MALLCO and LIPA about your continuing education and professional development needs. According to the survey results, the highest priority was "providing virtual learning opportunities taught by non-member experts." The highest area of need was technology skills, with 93 out of 141 respondents identifying this as a high priority need.

Beth's webinar series is one response to those expressed needs. Her series will be structured around the 8 chapters of her book as follows:

Ch. 2 - Collaborate

Ch. 3 - Share

Ch. 4 - Design

Ch. 5 - Create

Ch. 6 - Travel

Ch. 7 - Outsource

Ch. 8 - Google

All of the details are still being worked out (who is collaborating on this? will there be fees? who can attend?, etc.), but we hope to have final details soon so that we can begin registration. Watch for more on this on the NELLCO website and in e-mail.
