General Mark A. Welsh III spoke as the guest of honor at our Military Affairs Committee (MAC) welcome reception at the Panama Country Club on May 5th. General Welsh is Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force and is responsible for the organization, training and equipping of 660,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,  General Welsh functions as military advisers to the Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and the President. If you are interested in joining the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) and supporting our local Military Installations, contact Brandi at 850.215.3759.
We are extremely excited over the Panama City Commission decision to move forward with a negotiating agreement with Sonnenblick Development to redevelop the Panama City Marina. More to come.
Congratulations to our Volleyball Tournament winners! 1st Place went to City of Panama City Beach, 2nd Place went to Powell Broadcasting and 3rd Place was won by Capt. Anderson's Marina. The Panama City CDC won best team name with "Notorious D.I.G." and Dave and Buster's took home the best team shirts award. Thank you to Spinnaker Beach Club, Comcast Business, Capt. Leadership Bay was founded in 1983 and is a community leadership development program of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce. About MAC
The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1946, and is rich in the history of providing good public relations between our military bases and the business community. 
 
The mission of MAC is to develop understanding, support and goodwill between our men and women in uniform and the local business and civic leaders. The committee stages various events and receptions to welcome visiting military officials and guests to the Bay County area.

Need Social Capital? Bay Business Connection (BBC) provides an opportunity for groups of business professionals to come together to network, share business leads and referrals with other group members.
BBC is available to any member in good standing with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce at no extra charge. They must attend the scheduled bi-monthly meetings and one referral or lead is requested at each meeting. Members are encouraged to bring one guest (guest may be non-member). A member may only join one BBC group. BBC also makes sure no single business will be in direct competition with another member of the group. (For example, only one person in banking can be in each group.) Interested in joining?
