eBIZ newsletter

Freezing cold temps, pollen, oh my! Please, please, bring us Spring.

Once again, we've had a couple of busy weeks. Some of the highlights were:

Tyndall AFB officials continue to work to educate our citizens on the sensitive waterway issue surrounding the base. We encourage you to review the proposed document and form your own opinion. Click here to view. You will note that it specifically states, that ONLY during the case of a "Specific threat" will the 500' buffer be closed and "will be reevaluated every 48 hours to determine if the threat warrants continued activation".

The Bay Defense Alliance met last week to discuss its upcoming Northwest Florida Defense Alliance trip to D.C., and appropriate appointments and mission updates for both TAFB and NSA. Kudos to Tom Neubauer and his team of professionals who live and breathe the protection of our military installations.

Bay EDA also held their monthly meeting with complete updates on projects in the making that are certain to bring job growth to Bay County. Becca Hardin, the new President/CEO is doing an amazing job for us and working closely with both the Bay Co Chamber and the PC Beach Chamber.

Representatives of the Governmental Affairs Committee, Bay Chamber and PC Beach Chamber leadership travelled to Tallahassee to deliver our 2015 Legislative Agenda. Click here for the Agenda. In addition, our President, Carol Roberts, visited and interviewed with the Florida Chamber on that trip click here to watch the interview.

In case you missed the our Annual Dinner, you can now view it on YouTube. Click here to view the video.
