It was a great day in Bay on August 7th when ground was broken for our new Gulf Coast Veterans Outpatient Clinic. Thank you to our many community leaders and especially Senator Bill Nelson and Congressman Steve Southerland for making this a reality for our deserving veterans.

 

The Governmental Affairs Committee is in the process of gathering issues for our 2015 Legislative Agenda.  Are there any issues that are negatively affecting your business on a local, state or federal level that we should address?  If so, please contact Theresa at 215.3759.

Ross Clemons graduated from the United States Military Academy and received a Master's Degree from the University of Florida. He served 25 years in the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Colonel. Upon retirement, he returned to his hometown of Panama City and currently works as an Employee Benefits Consultant in the Clemons Company. He is active in the community, in particular at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. As an Associate staff for the Navigator's Ministry, he leads several Christian discipleship studies. He's been recently selected as a board member for Anchorage Children's home. 

  

The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1946, and is rich in the history of providing good public relations between our military bases and the business community. 

 

The mission of MAC is to develop understanding, support and goodwill between our men and women in uniform and the local business and civic leaders. The committee stages various events and receptions to welcome visiting military officials and guests to the Bay County area.

If you've ordered a Chamber name tag, please pick it up at our office at 235 West 5th Street or at any First Friday event. If you would like to order one, please call 850.785.5206 or visit the name tag table at First Friday. The first one is free, and a replacement is $5.

Need New Customers?
Business Referral Network (BRN) provides an opportunity for groups of business professionals to come together to network, share business leads and referrals with other group members.
 
BRN is available to any member in good standing with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce at no extra charge.
 
They must attend the scheduled bi-monthly meetings and one referral or lead is requested at each meeting. Members are encouraged to bring one guest (guest may be non-member).
 
A member may only join one Business Referral Network group. The Business Referral Group also makes sure no single business will be in direct competition with another member of the group. (For example, only one person in banking can be in each group.)

Each year the Bay County Chamber of Commerce provides relocation guides to individuals and businesses looking for information on relocating to our area. In addition to the relocation guide, we have created a way for our members to market to these individuals who may soon need their products and services.
