Greetings!
Congratulations to our county officials on several recent groundbreakings. Last Tuesday, officials put their shovels in the dirt where the new Bay County Courthouse Annex will soon sit. The new facility will help provide more space for courthouse operations. Also last Wednesday, a groundbreaking was held for the Bay County gun range on Steelfield Road off Highway 79. The public facility is expected to be partially finished by the summer. Kudos to our commissioners!
Leadership Bay traveled to Tallahassee last Wednesday and visited Representative Patronis, Representative Coley, Senator Gaetz, and Gulf Power legislative affairs officials. This class will soon roll out an exciting new feature where businesses can search for interns and post their internship opportunities on our website. Details on this project will be available soon.
The Education Committee is laying the groundwork for yet another in-depth Educators in Industry program. This program exposes our guidance counselors to local industry so they can communicate Bay County career opportunities to our students.

Business Referral Network (BRN) provides an opportunity for groups of business professionals to come together to network, share business leads and referrals with other group members.
BRN is available to any member in good standing with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce.
They must attend the scheduled bi-monthly meetings and one referral or lead is requested at each meeting. Members are encouraged to bring one guest (guest may be non-member).
A member may only join one Business Referral Network group. The Business Referral Group also makes sure no single business will be in direct competition with another member of the group. (For example, only one person in banking can be in each group.)
