Nick Cannon Talks Lupus
Nick Cannon, comedian, rapper and actor (not to mention Mariah Carey's husband), recently opened up about his lupus diagnosis, and how it affected his life. Lupus threatened to shut down his kidneys last year, and now Cannon is now talking about getting through it:

"Right now it's not [life threatening] but I will never confess that it will be," revealed Cannon, who welcomed twins with Carey last April. "I am working past it; I'm working through it. I'm a strong believer in faith. It was scary at the time, but I'm 100 percent now."

Here's a little clip of Cannon talking to Larry King:

Your 2013 Calendar - with Lupus Facts.

What if your desk calendar had a Lupus Fact every month? And what if we told you that the LFNC is printing exactly that kind of a calendar for you? Well, we are. Our 2013 desk calendar will include a Lupus Fact every month, along with a picture of one of our Mascot Contest contestant puppies from our Run & Walk this year. 12 adorable four-legged contestants entered, and each of them is featured on one month.

Have a look at the full calendar here. Final pricing is still in the process of being determined.

While we are on the subject of this calendar and our contestants, we would like to note with sadness that one of the contestants from this  year, Chico, passed away over the weekend. Isabelle, who entered Chico to the contests, describes him as her baby brother, and the entire LFNC family joins in her and her family's loss. Our deepest condolences for Chico.
