President's Message

Colleagues,

The ABWM Board of Directors recently met in Orlando, FL for a productive and successful fall meeting. Annually, this is the meeting where the new board members transition onto the board and the open officer seats are filled.

This year, we are fortunate to welcome Randall Cook, MD, FACS, CWSP, ADPM/UHM to serve on the board. Dr. Cook's experience and enthusiasm for the practice and education in wound care will be a wonderful addition to the ABWM Board.

Stanley McCallon, DPT, CWS has transitioned off the board after 8 years of service to ABWM. Dr. McCallon also served as ABWM President from 2008 - 2010. It has been an honor to learn from and serve with him. Dr. McCallon's contributions to the board helped to advance the ABWM's mission and we are grateful for his years of service.

Gayle Lindsey, PT, CWS was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as Secretary for a two year term. Gayle has served on the Board since 2010, has served as the Chair of the Marketing Committee and was instrumental last year during the ABWM re-branding and name transition. Gayle is a welcome addition to the Executive Committee as Secretary.

I look forward to working with this dedicated group of individuals in the coming years.
