Kelp Forest Restoration on PV Shelf Begins!   Kelp forest canopy.

MSRP is partnering with the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation to bring kelp forests back to reefs along the Palos Verdes coastline. This multi-year project will prove to be very beneficial for many commercial and recreational fish species!

This year restoration began for nine species of seabirds on two islands, Coronado Sur and Todos Santos Sur, that are part of the Baja California Pacific Islands. Learn about what biologists have been up to so far.

MSRP is Crazy About Fishing!  Two kids with a rock fish they caught.

Each year MSRP has been expanding it's youth fishing outreach program to include new events and fishing organizations. We have reached over 10,000 kids with this program!

The Montrose Settlements  Restoration Program is administered by six federal and State of California trustee agencies responsible for restoring natural resources injured by past releases of DDTs and PCBs to the marine environment surrounding the Palos Verdes peninsula.
