NEW Crosby G-209RP Subsea Shackles
With the advancements in subsea applications, the use of Remote Operating Vehicles (ROV) has become more prevalent in those difficult to reach areas such as, deep sea exploration, attachment of offshore rigs to the sea floor, welding and capping of oil well equipment on the ocean floor.
To meet the demanding needs of this application, Crosby is pleased to announce the new G-209RP shackle for efficient load handling and attachment by Remote Operating Vehicles (ROV) in subsea and other hard-to-reach applications. Specific design features that make this shackle line ideal for these types of applications is its interchangeable, "D" and "F", handle designs that allow for different robotic grips. Bows are painted fluorescent yellow, and handles fluorescent orange, for differentiation between the two and for better undersea visibility. Pins and bows are made from galvanized steel, and the handles from stainless steel for better resistance to corrosion in harsh saltwater applications. Handles come RFID EQUIPPED for inspection or inventory purposes.
The G-209RP Subsea Shackle is available in capacities 8.5t through 55t with the working load limit, QUIC-CHECK deformation and angle indicators forged on the bow of every shackle. Click here to learn more about the G-209RP Sub Sea Shackles.
