Farmers did improve auto claims satisfaction in 2014 @ 841 pts. compared to 2013 @ 829 pts. 2012 @ 838 pts. and 2010 @ 820 pts. Just enough to pull out of the "D" ranking into the "C-" category in 2014. 21st Century remains in the dumpster.

Successful DMs use recognition & appreciation as leadership tools, unlike this and other letters of force, fear & intimidation
|
Below is a canned [corporate?] email sent to many agents across the state with the exact wording. It is unknown if the DMs receive a commission/overide on the company agent programs or if it is just more of the same intimidation that has occurred over the last 4+ decades of DMs who lack real leadership and resort to use force and fear to lead their agents. Majority of agents using the forced company marketing programs do not break even on cost vs. commissions according to the "Pulse of the Agent Polls." Oklahoma DMs Sending out their last plea on the Agency Marketing Program
This will be the last time you hear from me regarding the 2015 Open Enrollment for Agency Marketing. You only have 3 more days to sign up.
I will approach this from the perspective of the Distribution Leadership team. If you heard the message at the last district meeting, there are a some important metrics that will be monitored and measured going forward: · Agency Growth Model - Specifically the KPI component of the AGM. If your agency is not performing at greater than 4.5 KPIs, that is a problem. · Smart Office - The expectation is that all agents meet the Smart Office Standards in all 6 categories. · Agency Marketing - With the changes and improvement to this years' program it is difficult to understand why an agent would not participate. The 2015 Agency Marketing program touches on most every basic method of marketing. If you can grow your agency and exceed the minimum 4.5 KPI mark without utilizing the company marketing programs (i.e. Agency Marketing), then great. However, if your agency is not growing and not achieving the expected AGM KPI results, the natural question is, "Is the agent marketing? Is the agency putting forth the effort to sell and grow?" I've heard from a couple of agents that they can't afford the program. I would argue that you can't afford not to participate. The $275 monthly cost of the program is less than the average commission on one homeowner policy ($388 avg. commission). You can pay for the annual cost of the program with less than 9 NB home sales. The annual average commission for an auto policy in our district is $85. It only takes 3.2 additional autos sales per month to pay for the program. The average annual commissions on an auto/home household is close to $500. You can pay for the program by selling 7 new HHs in a year. Every HH after 7 is money in your pocket and the renewals are all profit. I encourage you to reconsider your decision and sign up to participate in the 2015 Agency Marketing program. We are a sales business! Sales are born from consistent and systematic marketing and prospecting. The 2015 Agency Marketing program will deliver basic and systematic marketing for your business. Please feel free to call me if you have questions or would like to discuss.

BOK Financial Corp. will close 29 grocery store branches by mid-February 2015 as the company discontinues its grocery store branch model. The closures will affect sites in Oklahoma, north Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
All of the company's grocery branch employees, including 75 who will be displaced because of the closures, were notified Tuesday evening. Regardless, if your agency is inconvenienced by the BOK closings, you can download the BOK Deposit* APP on your cell phone where you can deposit check photos (not cash or travelers checks) with your cell phone and receive a confirming email receipt. Aetna to drop individual health plans in Oklahoma
TULSA - 11.19.2014 KRMG
Health insurance giant Aetna will no longer cover individual health plans in Oklahoma, a move that will affect thousands of customers who need to act quickly to save themselves money and a major inconvenience.
Aetna spokesman Rohan Hutchings confirmed the news Wednesday, saying "this decision was not taken lightly."
"All impacted individual members have a 180-day notice period from us," he told KRMG, "so in effect, if they remain on their plans, that takes them to May, 2015." However, he strongly urges them not to wait, and to find a new plan during the current open enrollment period. "What enrolling in a new plan now does, it means they won't have to switch plans middle of the year next year," he said, adding that waiting "would mean they would have to start over with new deductibles and other out-of-pocket expenses."
It's important to note the changes does not affect group policy members, nor AARP members covered through Aetna. The decision will also affect Coventry customers; It's estimated that 8,700 Oklahomans hold individual health plans through Aetna.

When P/C Insurance Carriers Can Cancel: The 'Underwriting Period' by State
Every state extends insurance carriers the right to cancel a newly-written policy during the first days of the policy period. This is commonly known as the new policy "underwriting period."
An underwriting period allows the insurance carrier time to inspect the property and its operations to assure that what was presented in the applications is, in fact, representative of the risk they are insuring. Also, underwriting data not available prior to the coverage effective date may become available during this period.
(Note: The underwriting period applies to newly written policies only, not renewals. Here is a chart providing underwriting period information for each state and the District of Columbia.)

New best day to buy cheap airline tickets online
Phone Apps that could make you business life easier
Have you ever needed to take a measurement, but didn't have a ruler or tape measure handy? Perhaps the object was too big or too far away to measure by hand? With this clever app, you can measure nearly anything from small items inside your home to objects like buildings and more.
EasyMeasure (Free; iOS, Android) lets you point your smartphone or tablet's camera at any object and see the object's dimensions on the screen. Now it does take a little work from you, unless you have a phone or tablet with Intel's RealSense camera like the Dell Venue 8 7000. Still, once you get the hang of it, you'll find plenty of ways to use it.
How many hours of your life have you spent on hold waiting for customer service? It's probably more than a few. You could be doing much better things with your time.
That's what makes the FastCustomer app (Free; iOS, Android) such a must-have. Once you call customer service, it waits on hold for you. When the customer service agent picks up, FastCustomer rings you so you can talk to them. How neat is that?
