Give STL Day is 4 Days Away!

 On Tuesday, May 6, the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation will host Give STL Day, the St. Louis region's first-ever 24-hour online day of giving to benefit our local nonprofit community.

Visit Cultural Leadership's page on GiveSTLday.org and make an online donation of $10 or more. Contributions will be added to the ongoing leaderboard located on the website and results will be tracked throughout the day. We will also promote status updates - including giving challenges and six gift-matching "Power Hours" - on Facebook and Twitter. During "Power Hours" each donation Cultural Leadership receives will be matched, which will double the size of your donation.

Want to participate?

1) Make your gift online
(Goal: Raise $1,200 - enough to send two middle school students to our new camp!)

2) Use #giveSTLday to share your donation on Twitter
(Goal: Gain 12 new followers!)

3) "Like" us on Facebook
(Goal: Receive 24 new likes!)

Hope you will Stand Up for Cultural Leadership on May 6!

Sign up for Camp Cultural Leadership!

Applications are now available for Camp Cultural Leadership, a two-week summer camp for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will be held at Brittany Woods Middle School in the University City School District. The camp introduces and reinforces social justice concepts and ties them to leadership skills, similar to our award-winning high-school program. Students will:

  • increase cultural awareness through hands-on activities;
  • take an overnight trip to Memphis to meet with people and see places important to civil rights, social justice and democracy;
  • develop leadership skills.
There will be two sessions:
July 7-July 18 and July 21-August 1.

Camp will run Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. For an additional fee, before and after care will be available (8:30 am-5:00 pm). During camp, students will take a two day; one night trip.

There is a $600 program fee to participate in Camp Cultural Leadership. This program fee will cover the costs for the two-week camp and the overnight trip. Limited financial aid will be available.

Quick Five Minute Survey

A group of students in an UMSL Information Systems class designed a survey for Cultural Leadership around social media. The class will provide results as well as recommendations. This survey is geared toward alumni. However, we ask that other friends of Cultural Leadership (including board members, staff, and parent alumni) complete the survey to help us learn how to best communicate.

There are 10 questions that will take you less than five minutes to complete.
