Deadline Extended - Join Class 10!

We have extended the deadline for Class 10 and will now be accepting applications until Wednesday, April 23.

During our year-long, educational leadership program, students become social justice activists and change agents, learning through the lens of the African American and Jewish experience. Students meet over the course of a year - 460 hours in all, which includes three weekend retreats, monthly meetings, and a three week summer transformational journey covering much of the east coast and the "deep south." Cultural Leadership opens students' eyes to problems that often go unnoticed in our communities, such as racism, anti-Semitism, poverty and oppression.

If you are currently a freshman or sophomore (or junior) in high school and would like more information about Cultural Leadership, or an application, visit our website or contact the office at (314) 725-3222.

An information session will be held Wed. April 9, 6pm, at Brittany Woods Middle School in University City.
Sign up for Camp Cultural Leadership!

Applications are now available for Camp Cultural Leadership, a two-week summer camp for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will be held at Brittany Woods Middle School in the University City School District. The camp introduces and reinforces social justice concepts and ties them to leadership skills, similar to our award-winning high-school program. Students will:

  • increase cultural awareness through hands-on activities;
  • take an overnight trip to Memphis to meet with people and see places important to civil rights, social justice and democracy;
  • develop leadership skills.
There will be two sessions:
July 7-July 18 and July 21-August 1.

Camp will run Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. For an additional fee, before and after care will be available (8:30 am-5:00 pm). During camp, students will take a two day; one night trip.

There is a $600 program fee to participate in Camp Cultural Leadership. This program fee will cover the costs for the two-week camp and the overnight trip. Limited financial aid will be available.

Thank you for supporting our Race to End Racism!

Last weekend, more than 20 Cultural Leadership supporters ran, walked, and volunteered in our third annual Race to End Racism with Go! St. Louis.

Amy Kanfer set the pace with one of her fastest half-marathons, 2:05! And congratulations to Tony Westbrook, Jr., Class 1, who completed his half-marathon and was our top fundraiser at $1,880. Thanks to all of our participants and sponsors - we couldn't have done it without you!

Though our Race already happened, we're still raising funds to make sure that Cultural Leadership can continue impacting the St. Louis community -
