Trivia Night is a Great Success!

The first annual Transformational Trivia night for Cultural Leadership was on Saturday, October 19. Over 140 people came to Central Reform Congregation to participate, win prizes, and raise funds for Cultural Leadership.

The night was led by Gil Gross and David Schenberg, Class 9 parents. After eight rounds of inventive trivia (with a Cultural Leadership 'bonus question' at the end of each), table #12 was crowned the winning table. You'll want to get these winning participants at year table next year - Cheryl Adelstein and Daniel Davison (Class 7 parents), Leah Merrifield and Lloyd Winston (Class 1 parents), Lorraine Goffe-Rush and Fred Rush (Class 6 parents), Larry Rosen (Class 5 parent), Mara Davison, Matt Neufeld, and Fran Morales-Neufeld.

The prize for best decorated table went to Table #7, with a Halloween theme. Populated by Class 7 alumni: Hannah Davison, Mercedes Harrison, Micheal Jackson, Mi'chon Madison, Tari Nussinov and Devin Spears.

A big thank you to our event sponsor, SSM Health Care-St. Louis. Our round sponsors were Metro Theater Company, Diversity Awareness Partnership, Anti-Defamation League, St. Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition, NCCJSTL, and Missouri History Museum. Our table sponsors included
Ameren, Central Reform Congregation, Cheryl Adelstein, Mary Ann McLaughlin, Congregation Shaare Emeth, United Hebrew Congregation, and Whitfield School.

Cultural Leadership raised over $8,000 with this event!

In the community...

Class 9 has been busy - in addition to their schooling, extracurricular activities, and college applications, they have gone out into the community to give speeches and facilitate discussions.
Ben, Tammara, Jacob, and Darrell spoke at Crown Center for Senior Living about what they have learned during their year in Cultural Leadership.

Aaron, Paige, and Leonard with Bishop Jones at Leonard's church, Pleasant Grove (The Church of Koinonia).

Eden and William spoke at Congregation B'nai Amoona.

Laurel and Mikal spoke at United Hebrew Congregation's Shabbat service on Friday night. Then, Joel and Tammara spoke to the confirmation class on Sunday morning!

Evan, Khalil, Sam, and Celeste spoke to Central Reform Congregation on Yom Kippur. Their classmate Isabella attended the service to support them!

If you have a speaking or facilitation opportunity that you would like Class 9 or our alumni to be part of, please email mharris@culturalleadership.org or call (314) 725-3222.
