Meet Dr. Erickson . . .
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Melissa Erickson to our staff. Dr. Erickson grew up in Napa then went on to get her BS at University of Santa Barbara. After earning her DVM at the University of Minnesota she practiced for two and a half years in New York State. She is currently working as a registered veterinary technician (RVT) while she waits for her license to be approved in Sacramento. Dr. Erickson is looking forward to continuing to practice the high standard of medicine she has developed over the past two years and to achieving her goal of "working in a progressive small animal hospital that is devoted to providing high quality medicine in both a professional and compassionate atmosphere." |
Wishing you and your pets a peaceful holiday...
This has been a challenging year for many of us and for all of us here at Arroyo we have come to appreciate even more t he role that our pets play in our lives. There is simply no price one can put on being greeted at the door by wagging tails or cries and meows of joy after a long day. Pet owners don't need research to prove how important these critters are to our health and happiness. So we hope that you can be with your loved ones this holiday season and that certainly includes the four legged kind. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and peaceful holiday season.

Holiday Hazards . . .
. . . Fatty foods, bones, Holly, Mistletoe, Poinsettia, eggnog, nuts and raisins are just some of the things you need to keep away from your pets - especially around the Holidays. You can download our list of Holiday Hazards from our web site at www.avhsonoma.com. It's a handy one page pdf to help you keep your pets safe this holiday season. In addition to listing hazards it has phone numbers to call in case of a pet emergency. Click on "Holiday Hazards" on the home page. |
