Meet Dr. Moeller

Dr. Tanya Moeller (pronounced MOH-LER) has joined our staff and will be available one day a week -usually Thursdays - to assist Dr. Stallings with the diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine cases. Dr. Moeller is board qualified Dr. Tanya Moellerin internal medicine and is experienced in ultrasound and oncology.

Dr. Moeller graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She practiced for several years at PetCare in Santa Rosa. Dr.Moeller is board qualified in internal medicine and specializes in ultrasound and oncology. She will be available to help with the difficult and diagnostically challenging cases we so often see in our hospital.

What's different, what's the same?

By now most of you have heard the news about the recent developments here at Arroyo. Our three associate veterinarians left to start their own practice, Valley of the Moon Veterinary, here in Sonoma.

In light of this development we are focused on moving forward and I want to assure you that we are just as committed to providing a high level of medical care and a high level of service to  you and your pets as we have for the past fifteen years. Rich and I are in the process of evaluating candidates to fill one and possibly two of the full time associate vacancies. This will take time as we want to proceed carefully and make sure the person(s) we hire is the right fit.

We appreciate your patience and understanding through this challenging period and we're excited about the opportunity to make our practice even better than before. We have a strong, capable support team in place and we have been able to maintain our level of service and care during this period because of them.

The addition of Dr. Tanya Moeller means that we will have someone "in house" to refer challenging cases to who can help us provide more timely diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Russ Gurevitch will continue to perform orthopedic surgery and consultation for our patients.

We look forward to introducing a new associate in the coming weeks and announcing more improvements to the practice as well.
