Dear Friends,
Thanks for your generosity and spirited giving at our August fundraiser, "Give Cancer the Boot", through which we raised over $215,000!!
We are very grateful for the support of our guests, volunteers, sponsors, donors and VIPs who joined us in our mission to improve the outcome of cancer care for end stage cancer patients and the medically
under-served.
A bow of gratitude to our hosts, Cliff Walker and Karina Jostel, from whose hilltop we enjoyed a most spectacular sunset and a magical evening. Thank you for the kindness, generosity and life affirming efforts you expended on behalf of Lazarex Cancer Foundation and the patients it serves.
This was one of my favorite Lazarex events - a perfect summer night to be outdoors, surrounded by beauty and good energy with great people, delicious food and lively music. It was fun!!My heart was happy for days.
Thank you all for celebrating life with us.
Sincerely,
Karen Ambrogi

Thank you all for supporting us and GIVING CANCER THE BOOT!
A quick recap of the event:
Lazarex Cancer Foundation held its western themed fundraiser "Give Cancer the Boot" at a private ranch in Fremont foothills. This was a very successful event, it raised over $215,000 for the foundation.
Give Cancer the Boot was a fun and elegant taste of the West with great food offered by Chef Ty Pearce and the staff of Local Harvest Catering from Santa Cruz.
There was fantastic Western Swing music provided by the talented Lost Marbles band (all the way from Switzerland) and the award winning Lost Weekend band from the Bay area.
Sierra Nevada Guns for Hire provided shoot outs and old western characters while our guests enjoyed rodeo roping, bull riding, target shooting and tequila tasting.
 | Lazarex Cancer Foundation awarded the Circle of Life award to long time supporters Ron & Carol Zenaro |
The foundation awarded the "Circle of Life" award to its long time supporters Ron & Carol Zenaro. Since 2010, they've raised over $100,000 for Lazarex Cancer Foundation in honor of their son, Scott, a Lazarex VIP (Very Important Patient) for about 2.5 years.
We invite you to experience an interactive film that recaps "Give Cancer the Boot" fundraiser on Saturday, August 16th, at the "Cliff House", on a private ranch in the Fremont foothills. Good things happen every day, everywhere, when we get together.
