Stephens Creek Improvement Strategies
|
At our meeting next Thursday, I (Jen) and Anne Nelson from the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) will update the group on the draft BES Improvement Strategies for Stephens Creek and other Willamette subwatersheds. Improvement Strategies are projects concepts, ideas and locations that have been identified as potentially helping to improve water quality.
This is the first stage of efforts to get the word out to neighbors about watershed planning in our area -- hot off the press! Stephens Creek Stewards knowledge and involvement in the process will help ensure that projects resulting from this work will have the best possible on-the-ground results.
I also hope that this information will help SCS generate ideas and provide an opportunity to develop our own projects that will align with other watershed efforts.
Do you know of another local group that would like to hear more about the Improvement Strategies? Contact Jen to set up a presentation.
