On this day, 17 years ago, Latinos Progresando opened its doors in a tiny office on 18th Street and just $200 in the bank. Today, as Latinos Progresando marks its 17th year, we would like to take a moment to thank all of those who have been a part of our journey.

Together, we have built the largest Latino-led family-based immigration legal services program in the State of Illinois.

We have created and performed original works about the Latino experience in the United States.

We have contributed more than $30,000 in scholarships to hopeful and driven young students from our community.

We have brought more resources to Chicago's southwest side with our partners in the Marshall Square Resource Network--now named a Live United Neighborhood Network by the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.

We consider ourselves lucky to be a part of such an amazing community and we look forward to serving it for many more years to come.
