Learning to lead
Last week, LP's founder and Executive Director, Luis Gutierrez, sat down with the youth in Teatro Americano to share his experiences growing up in Little Village and starting a nonprofit organization.
In the coming weeks, Teatro Americano youth will learn from other guest speakers--LP's Marketing Director, Edgar Pineda, Chicago Police Department officers, and local business owners about what it means to be a leader in the community.

Finding Herself Lost: A Teatro Americano original
 Come see Teatro Americano's performance of their original work, Finding Herself Lost. Set on Chicago's southwest side, Finding Herself Lost was written and will be performed entirely by Teatro Americano youth, and tells the story of a young girl's experience of loss, growth and self-discovery.
