Last spring, Latinos Progresando's Teatro Americano worked together with Chicago Shakespeare Theater to perform a read-sing of the award-winning musical " In the Heights" to a sold-out crowd at Benito Juarez Performing Arts Center in Pilsen.

Through open community auditions, we discovered the incredible talent of Wanda DeCwikiel-Avila, the Executive Director of La Familia Unida...Pablo Serrano, organizer of The People's Stage Karaoke...and LP's very own Luis Crespo, a Teatro Americano Academy instructor.
