MVA fatality in Milton
Thursday, Jan. 28 at approximately 11:33 p.m., Milton Police Department officers respond to a single car motor vehicle accident in the area of 18300 New Bullpen Road, near the Cherokee County Line. On their arrival, officers found one vehicle that had left the roadway and collided with a tree. Inside the vehicle they located the sole occupant of the vehicle, 25-year-old John K. Johnson of Canton, with grave injuries.

Johnson was treated on scene by medical personnel, but succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by investigators of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office.

Preliminary indications at the scene, suggest that speed may have been a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing and will be handled by the Milton Police Traffic Specialist Unit.
