On Thursday, Dec. 10 at approximately 1:46 pm, Milton Police officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Arnold Mill Rd at the Cherokee County line.

Upon arrival, officers observed two motor vehicles that had been involved in a head on collision. Both vehicles were occupied by one driver each of who were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles. One of the drivers involved, later identified as Sylvia England, 66, of Woodstock, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital for treatment. Shortly after her arrival at the hospital, Ms. England succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle, Kristen Mitchell, 41, of Woodstock, was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel for non-life threatening injuries. She was also transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital.

Milton Police Traffic Specialists responded to the accident scene and the investigation is ongoing.
