Friends of Milton Library Grand Opening this Saturday

Join The Friends of the Milton Library this Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m for the Grand Opening of the Historic Barn at 855 Mayfield Road (click here for directions).

The day-long celebration will include a grand opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m., thousands of gently used books for sale with all proceeds benefiting the new Milton Library, library tours and old fashioned ice cream treats!

The barn is a larger replica of the Dinsmore Barn that once occupied the corner of Charlotte and Mayfield roads.  Much of the structure was built from reclaimed wood carefully salvaged by The Friends of the Milton Library for the very purpose of building a bookstore, meeting and social space for the organization.

The Friends of the Milton Library is a 501c3 charitable organization established to support the programs of the Milton library in Crabapple. Proceeds from the sales of donated books, special events and financial donations are used to purchase new books and other materials for the library and to support various community efforts aimed at enhancing library services.
