Crabapple business connection event Aug. 22

Better Together's series aimed at exposing residents to Milton's businesses

Did you know you could make one stop in Crabapple for gourmet cheese, photography, chic clothing and Pilates?

Join Better Together, Milton's citizen volunteer committee, and the Crabapple Community Association for a business connection event showcasing Blencoe & Co., Cheeses & Mary, Hello Lovely and Milton Pilates & Wellness.

This free event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 22, at Braeburn Village, located at 12220 Birmingham Hwy.  The entire community is invited, said Wayne Boston, community builder for the City of Milton.

"Each of these events creates new connections," he said. "Whether its health, food or fashion, we're trying to bring something for everyone and introduce the community to local businesses."

"This event will be an opportunity for Milton residents to taste delicious local cheeses, hear tips on making your family portrait sessions successful, see Pilates demonstrations and have one-on-one styling time with Darling Down South blogger Cynthia Hoyt," said Barbara Mahoney, co-owner of Hello Lovely.

Additionally, the first 30 attendees will receive goody bags with samples and coupons. There will be giveaways valued at over $50 from each business.

Businesses in Milton are encouraged to contact Boston at 678-242-2512 or [email protected] if they would be willing to host an event in order to introduce their particular product or service to our residents. Better Together will then work with the business to plan an event that will be educational, productive and enjoyable to all.

Better Together is a volunteer organization of Milton residents looking for unique and fun ways to connect with neighbors.
