Planning Commission hosts Conservation Subdivision meetings
Three public meetings give ample time for questions, comments

MILTON, Ga., May 12, 2015 - After a tremendous public response to the city's efforts to establish a Conservation Subdivision Ordinance, the City of Milton Planning Commission is proud to announce it will hold a series of three meetings in the coming weeks to ensure the public's desires are heard and incorporated into any plan moving forward.
The meetings will be held:
At these meetings, Donald Broussard of TownPlanning & Design will lead discussion and public input on the concept and process of creating subdivisions where units are planned to preserve more greenspace than current zoning allows.
The meetings will follow resident discussion organically, said Peyton Jamison, chairman of the Planning Commission. They have a loose schedule and guidelines, but what's most important, he said, is a healthy dialogue about the city's intention and process.
"If you have an opinion on the future growth in Milton, then by all means please stop by these meetings," said Jamison. "We absolutely want to hear from everyone interested in their community."
The conservation subdivision, which sets aside an amount of land for preservation, is one of many options among Milton's growing list of conservation and lifestyle initiatives.
