MILTON, Ga., April 9, 2015 - Interested in becoming a better writer and being an active part of your community? Do you need tips to start that novel you've always wanted to write?

If so, Better Together, Milton's citizen volunteer committee, has the perfect opportunity for you: the newly formed Milton Literary Group (MLG). MLG will offer a monthly meeting for all types of readers and writers with a focus on the "nuts and bolts" of the writing craft.

Don't miss the next MLG meeting this Sunday, April 12 at 4 p.m., at the Bethwell Community Center.  Rona Simmons, author of "Postcards from Wonderland", will be the guest speaker. She will address research and editing, two critical aspects of the writing process.

Research, said Simmons, is like mining for gold and editing like shaping and polishing that gold until it gleams. Additional information can be found at www.ronasimmons.com.

Tentative plans for the group include planning and arranging for a City of Milton literary event in late 2015.
