MILTON, Ga., July 23, 2014 -Milton's Better Together volunteer organization is again partnering with non-profit North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) to collect supplies for its annual Back to School Health and Wellness Event Aug. 9.

Residents who wish to pitch-in may drop supplies off at Milton's City Hall, located at 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107 (click here for directions), between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., said Community Builder Wayne Boston.

Residents may also arrange for pickup of larger donations by contacting Boston at 678-242-2512 or wayne.boston@cityofmiltonga.us.

All supplies must be collected by Aug. 4 to ensure distribution to students, said Boston.

Event organizers need new backpacks and various school supplies like paper and pencils. In addition to providing school supplies, NFCC will also be conducting health and wellness screenings for all families.  Last year, some 498 families received assistance through this program.
