Stranded drivers: Travel before dark
Please stay off roads if possible
|
MILTON, Ga., Jan. 29, 2014 - Milton staff is advising motorists stranded at a samaritan's home to travel before dark.
With rising temperatures, conditions have improved to where most roads are passable. However, use extreme caution in low areas, on bridges, and in shade, as ice still exists. Additionally, conditions will deteriorate as night falls.
Above all else: If you do not have to drive, do not get on the roads.
If you abandoned your car in the roadway, please remove it before it is towed. If you abandoned your car off the road or in a parking lot, please wait until tomorrow to retrieve your vehicle to keep volume off the roads.
If you find your vehicle has been towed, please call United Towing at 770-751-0581.
