MILTON, Ga., Nov. 1, 2013 - In an effort to increase community safety and interaction with the City of Milton Fire Department, the agency recently launched its own Facebook page and Twitter feed.

"Like" the Facebook page and "Follow" the Twitter feed to receive updates about upcoming events or classes, safety alerts and tips regarding fire prevention.

"We have so much news to share, we've been planning for some time to establish our own social media presence separate from the city," said Jamila Jones, administrative assistant for the department. "With these new resources, Milton residents can be closer than ever to their fire department."
