Total Lunar Eclipse ~ October 8, 2014

Eclipses amplify whatever we're doing by millions of times.

So make good karma now and try not to be harmful in any way.

Say your prayers, make your wishes, do your mantras,

and sing your chants before you go to bed. - Vickie Noble

BOTTOM LINE PART 1: how to work with this eclipse

"When visible, Total Lunar Eclipses are an opportunity to witness all the phases of the Moon, from Full Moon to Full Moon, in about 3½ hours. This is a rapid acceleration in our space-time experience collapsing what is normally about a 30 day cycle to just over 3 hours."  Cayelin Castell

"During a total lunar eclipse it is as if we fast-forward through a Moon cycle, from full light, to shadowed light, to full again. A door closes and a new one opens in a brief three-hour time slot." - M. Kelley Hunter

Here is the bottom line of what you need to know about the October 8, 2014 Total Lunar Eclipse: There is a three-hour amplified portal of ACCELERATED HEALING:

The total phase of this eclipse lasts 59 minutes. The most powerful time of the eclipse is of course when it is total, BUT the true fullest experience also includes the partial phases flanking Totality. This time range is from 5:09am EDT (2:09am PDT) to 8:34am EDT (5:34am PDT). Time collapses during this interval - a pause in the ethers - and you can leap forward in the releasement of ancient toxic emotions. 30 days of change is compressed into about 3 hours. Meditate, pray, do ceremony, chant, do yoga during this time.

Even better: DANCING and DRUMMING are great ways to get the blocked emotional energy moving so that it can be jettisoned. ILLUMINATION of subconscious material that you were totally unaware of can erupt with these influences. Pay attention to what passes through your mind and emotional body, especially if it is raw material, symbolic and primitive.

Note: if the eclipse is visible in your area, physically viewing it adds to the power of its effects. It is safe to look directly at this eclipse, as with all lunar eclipses.

BOTTOM LINE PART 2: three key areas for focus
"Eclipses are about change, sometimes radical change of the status quo. Concentrate on these shifts as a normal part of your growth process, leaving behind outmoded behaviors." - Martin Bulgerin

"It is the destiny of all relationships to become holy." -A Course in Miracles

Here is an important part of the bottom line of this potent eclipse, ie 3 key areas of focus: (1) WHITE HOT CHANGE - This eclipse occurs at 15 degrees and 05 minutes of Libra/Aries. It activates the Cardinal Cross as described above. It is filled with RED HOT FIRE. The heat will melt the dross. "Let there be lightbulbs & liquefaction! (Alice Notley)

All eclipses deliver change. This eclipse ramps it up to another level because the Moon eclipses the planet Uranus only one hour before the Moon itself is eclipsed by Earth's shadow! And adding Uranus to the mix is like hurling a lightning bolt AND a live wire into a blazing furnace. Hotter than the Sun is the power for change at this time. Get grounded and stay grounded, especially in the three days around the Full Moon/eclipse.

(2) EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS: At the time of lunar eclipses, "you are cleansing, releasing, and detoxing whatever has accumulated or been repressed over the previous six months. What has been hidden in the subconscious now rises to the surface." (Virgomagic.com) It's also an opportunity to detox on a physical level. (Think about cleaning up your diet from toxins) Take sea salt baths and drink lots of water. Allow yourself extra time to rest. The key: we have the opportunity for major breakthroughs, emotional release, and new perspectives.

(3) RELATIONSHIP ILLUMINATION - The Sun is in Libra in this eclipse. In any eclipse you are required to devote more time, attention and energy to some matters more than usual. In this case Relationships are the stress point. If there is a 'fault line', the fissure may open. Note the themes that emerge or re-emerge, note your feelings, allow yourself to grieve or be angry - then LET GO. There will be moments of realization that may totally transform your relationship for the better.

Also, whatever still lingers after the Summer 2014 Triple Supermoon 'purge' of emotions/shadow material will easily pass away now. All we have to do is allow.

Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn A SPIRITUAL OVERVIEW of the eclipse Tetrad
A powerful wave of energy is peaking now. What we have been experiencing since 2012 is reaching a crescendo.

This Full Moon is the second of four Total Lunar Eclipses - i.e. a TETRAD SERIES which began in April 2014 and continues through September 2015. A Tetrad is an uncommon astronomical event. (Click here for my newsletter on the Tetrad: http://ow.ly/ChJ2w)

The Tetrad is a mystical alignment that is intimately tied with the final year of the Cardinal Grand Cross (Uranus Square Pluto) - the signature alignment of our times. The Cross has unleashed epochal forces, creating a Crucifixion experience. an Initiation which is singular to THIS MOMENT IN TIME for human evolution. The Tetrad is the waterway rushing this force to its conclusion.

The Cross has its roots in the 2011-2012 cycle completions (many ancient cycles rolled to conclusion at that time). The transformation (with particular themes) that you have been experiencing since 2012 has not been in vain. What you began then culminates now, ie over these next six months. After March/April 2015, the energies will shift significantly.

The Cross is the fundamental building block of what we may be able to accomplish in the next 10 years, the next 20 years, and perhaps even the next 100 years. In particular the 12 years between 2012 and 2024 are CRUCIAL to our collective path. This is the last hurrah of a key turning point (CROSSROADS) in human history.

The Tetrad (and the Concentrated Triple Supermoon experience of this past summer) are here to help wash the whole process clean. As the Tetrad weaves its way through the next 9 month like a river, the Cross dissolves (along with ancient regressive patterns) - and nothing will ever be the same. In ways that are better and in ways that seem worse.

Yep, we are almost to the Finish Line of the Cardinal Marathon. It's time to PUSH. The Tetrad (of which this eclipse is Part 2 of 4) makes that push possible.

ASTRONOMY STATS PART 1- viewing the eclipse

A Total Lunar Eclipse occurs at the time of a Full Moon when the Moon and Sun line up, but unlike other Full Moons, the Moon is completely blocked by the shadow of Earth, as the Earth comes between the Sun and Moon.

Here are some Astronomical Stats on this eclipse. It is visible from all parts of the United States. It is best seen from the Pacific Ocean and bordering regions. Viewing from the east coast of the United States/Canada will be interrupted by the sunrise. I.e. The Moon sets during totality in those areas. The southern half of the Moon will appear much darker than the northern half during the eclipse because it lies deeper in shadow. The Moon will appear 5.3% larger than it did during the April 15, 2014 Total Lunar Eclipse. The total phase lasts 59 minutes.

AREAS OF THE WORLD THAT WILL SEE THE ECLIPSE: The entire October 08 eclipse is visible from the Pacific Ocean and regions immediately bordering it. The northwestern 1/3 of North America also witnesses all stages. Farther east, various phases occur after moonset. For instance, the Moon sets during totality from eastern Canada and the USA. Observers in South America also experience moonset during the early stages of the eclipse. All phases are visible from New Zealand and eastern 1/4 of Australia - the Moon rises during the early partial phases from Australia's west coast. Most of Japan and easternmost Asia catch the entire eclipse as well. Farther west in Asia, various stages of the eclipse occur before moonrise. None of the eclipse is visible from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. (from NASA)
