I am repeating here what I stated in my previous newsletter describing the energies of April 2014 (click here to view that newsletter: http://ow.ly/vYcRY) Here are some thoughts on what to focus on if you are overwhelmed or want to glide through this month easily:

 

1. FIRST: Your INTENT is what matters now. Never mind the details or the 'how'. If you do nothing else, or read no further, simply set your intent for the changes you would like to make in your life. The key is to focus on the changes THAT WILL HELP YOU TO BETTER SERVE HUMANITY AND EARTH. And allow the river to carry you forward to the perfect outcome. Our path of service is also the path to joy, meaning, fulfilment and the taking on of more light (enlightenment).

 

2. ALSO, please be gentle with yourself right now. Last week's Total Lunar Eclipse stirred up some deep emotional energies and created disturbances in the energy fields of earth and of people. Now, in the Time Between Eclipses, we may feel confused and disoriented, as the raw energies have not yet coalesced and we really don't know what to do next. This is normal, and is heightened by a potent Cardinal Cross! So pratice Extreme Self Care and, as much as possible, give yourself plenty of room to relax and play. 

 

3. IN ADDITION, because of the velocity of the energies right now and the potential for amazing changes, this is a good time to have an Astrology Coaching session to help you navigate. First we need to consider the historic Uranus-Pluto square, which is the heart of the Cardinal Cross. Astrologers attribute much of our current transformational times (from 2012-2015) as spin-off from these two planets as they square each other in the signs of Aries and Capricorn.

I.e. During the Time Between Eclipses, the 5th of 7 exact squares of Uranus and Pluto will perfect (i.e. will be exactly 90 degrees apart). This occurs on Monday April 21 at 2:38 pm EDT. The square will occur with Uranus at 13 degrees Aries 34 minutes, and Pluto at 13 degrees Capricorn 34 minutes (Pluto is Retrograde).

 

There are 7 exact squares of Uranus-Pluto. They occurred/will occur on the following dates: June 24, 2012, September 19, 2012, May 20, 2013, November 1, 2013, (current - April 21, 2014), Dec 15, 2014, March 16, 2015. 

 

In a previous newsletter (which can be found here (http://ow.ly/va7fb) I offered a theory that the 7 Uranus-Pluto squares correspond to the 7 chakras of the human energy center. The November 1, 2013 square (the fourth) was related to the fourth chakra, the Heart Chakra, seat of love and compassion.

 

The current square is related to the Throat Chakra, the center of communication and speaking our truth. The color associated with this chakra is BLUE and at this time we may want to wear blue clothing (dress, scarf, shirt, pants) or jewelry (sapphire, blue topaz, lapis lazuli). Notice the places in your life where you feel unable to express what you really feel and think. This is also a good time to sing, chant, as well as speak with others about your deepest heart desires.

 

FROM THE SUN: The 7 squares as described above are observed from here on Earth. If we were standing on the Sun and looking out at the solar system (a heliocentric view), there would only be one exact square of Uranus-Pluto. This occurred on November 24, 2013. (Why? Planets don't appear to reverse/retrograde from the perspective of the Sun, but they do from earth, creating numerous exact squares here, and only one from the perspective of the Sun).

 

Thus, there is only one 'hit' of Uranus-square-Pluto for the solar system. This was close to the heart (and Heart Chakra) of the transit. Now we are integrating the energies of the first 3 squares, through the heart, and bringing them up into the throat where we will now speak and act on the Truth. 

November 2013, the time of the single Uranus-Pluto square from the view of the Sun, was a very intense month, not unlike our current month, April 2014. Think back to that time and what was transpiring in your life. Things are probably going up an octave, and most likely are up for review. What makes the April 21, 2014 Uranus-Pluto square especially significant is that Mars and Jupiter jump on the wheel and create a Cross formation. Because of this, all four corners of the cross will be held by a strong presence, like four people anchoring in the corners of a tent. This Cross is the signs of Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn (known as the Cardinal signs). As these planets tighten into a Cross with very very little wriggle room, our world as we know it will be shaken up.

 

The Grand Cross does not actually begin until Mars retrogrades into 13 degrees Libra, which occurs in the early morning hours of April 22, 2014.

 

Here is the timing of the unfolding of the Cross, as it clicks into place from April 20 to April 24 (some of these probably have already happened, depending on when I finally get this newsletter out to you!):

 

Sunday April 20 (Easter)

Jupiter squares Uranus (3:25 am EDT)

Jupiter opposes Pluto (7:05 pm EDT)

 

Monday April 21:

URANUS squares PLUTO (2:38 pm EDT)

 

Tues April 22 (Earth Day)

Mars enters Libra (retrograde movement)

Mars squares Jupiter (3:28 pm EDT)

 

Wed April 23

Mars opposes Uranus (3:09 am EDT)

Mars squares Pluto (9:47 am EDT)

 

 

The Cross does not stand still in a single moment. Instead it begins shifting into place on April 20 at 3:25am when Jupiter squares Uranus, and then vibrates like a tuning fork as each of the 4 individual squares click into place. The Cross culminates at 9:47 am EDT on April 23 when Mars squares Pluto.

 

Jupiter is in the sign of Cancer in this Cross, and it is exalted in that sign. It brings a loving vibe to the otherwise intense adversarial nature of this configuration. Mars in Libra is trying to mediate peace, but in itself it is conflicted, much like we are, concerning THE NEED TO BE RIGHT in relationships (between people, and between nations). It is challenged by the almost crazy Uranus in Aries which wants change at ANY cost. 

 

Mars square Pluto is very volatile... and angry. Avoid confrontation this week. Put it off (if you can) until May, especially the more contentious discussions that you need to have in your life. Instead, write it out and debate it within yourself. The energies are just too volatile for most of us to handle gracefully. (And the regret after we have 'acted out' our insecurities is best avoided. Trust me, I've done the legwork!) Just make sure you feel it, feel the feelings, witness them, and know that just by witnessing them, you are moving forward into higher consciousness. Remember that the outside 'people, place and things' that are pushing your buttons are really mirrors of your own unprocessed shadow side. Even if its simply a matter of an ancient wound being opened up so that it can be cleansed and healed.

 

In addition, Expect the Unexpected! Uranus, the planet of sweeping and unexpected change, will be prominent, meaning that there can be shocking reversals. 

 

Jupiter in Cancer can help us to 'reach for the thought that feels better' - focusing on what we are grateful for in your life and making technicolor the dreams that we know will come to fruition. The energies of the Cross are like a nuclear rocket and you can send up your desires with them into manifestation!

 

If you have time this week, you may want to harmonize with the timing of the unfolding Cross as listed above. Tune in and notice what you intuit. Your dreams may be especially vivid right now, and may have messages for your concerning what 'needs to go' in your life (especially your inner world and self-talk) and what new beautiful creations are being born.

 

  

The Cardinal Directions are perhaps the foremost of all frameworks for life on earth. They are honored as important in all religious traditions throughout history, without exception. Shamans and Medicine Men/Women call in the Four Directions in order to create the Circle of Creation, of the Divine, on Earth.

 

We get our bearings by finding North on a compass. We understand the dawn and the day ahead, and yearn for the new and exotic, by looking to the East. We enjoy the heat of the mid-day Sun by venturing South. And at the end of the day we sail Into the West for sunset and sleep. We literally define the fabric of our lives by marking the movement of our star, the Sun in relationship to the Four directions. We would be lost without our understanding of them. They are like breathing. 
 
The notorious East-West polarity is one of the most important polarities that we struggle with in our current state of evolution. It represents the duality of Feminine-Masculine. Yin and Yang. Our struggle for balance comes from the tension between these opposites.
 
The North-South polarity is another doozy. It represents the duality of White-Black. Light and Dark. Our struggle for freedom comes from the tension between these opposites.

 

As the Cardinal Cross locks into place in the sky, we can use this time to think about the basic duality of life on Earth. Earth is a Polarity Planet. Contrast is the name of the game. Can we find a place of integration? Is that even possible? Do we really want to?How do we, individually, handle the dualities of our lives? And how do we handle polarity on a collective level.

It is said that when the incarnating Soul sweeps into the Earth plane at the moment a baby takes its first breath, it does so through the vortex of Life at the Eastern Rising Point, the place of The Great Eastern Sun. The Ascendant is the VORTEX of the birth chart (and of the life) - The Vortex of the NOW. This is where the leading-edge energies for spiritual evolution, joy and service can be found. If you begin to live in the vortex of your Ascendant you will thrive. (This is what I strive to help you to do in an Astrology Coaching session. It is the most important thing I can offer.)

 

On a natural zodiac wheel, Aries is always rising in the east. And, since Uranus is in Aries right now - Uranus leads the way in this Cross! It holds the key. It is the Great Liberator, the Revolutionary, and the electrical life-force energy which will help us to create the Aquarian world of our future. Uranus/Aquarius IS the future, always has been. The changes we make now hold more energy to create the framework for the world to come, putting down the 4 corners of the Aquarian Age of Conscious Co-Creation.

THE GREAT EASTERN SUN

The ones who are nobly born as Mukpo clan,
Who defeat the eclipse of the Great Eastern Sun
And sharpen the blade of primordial Ashe:
The are victorious over all their enemies, the forces of materialism.
They see the Tiger Lion Garuda Dragon vision.
They are fearless in the midst of barbarian arrogance.

This poem is especially poignant as we are now opening up to the Great Sun of the Cross of Creation, while in the midst of an Eclipse vortex. Next week on April 29, the Sun will be eclipsed and transformed into a Ring of Fire. We are warriors for the Ascendancy of the Liberation of Aquarius, freeing ourselves from the slavery of destructive materialism, envisioning the rising of a new way of being, our Souls on Fire with the Dawning Light.
