March 30, 2014 - Hello hello and hello! It's been a while since I sat down to write to you with my full attention. As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, I have moved. I am now living in Sarasota, Florida, about an hour south of Tampa on the Gulf Coast. I just moved one week ago so things are still pretty chaotic, but I had to carve out some time to write to you because April is just such a Huge month astrologically. If you are into astrology, I know you have been hearing/reading about April 2014 and its profound energies from every quarter of the internet! Two eclipses, Uranus Square Pluto, and a Grand Cardinal Cross, phew! I will add some of my thoughts to the mix even though I don't have enough time to go into intense detail today. I'm going to fill you in on what's going on with me by way of catching up and then provide an overview of April with some salient points for you to ponder. Eclipses are involved here, and the first one (a Total Lunar Eclipse) occurs on April 15. I will be in touch before then. In the meantime, I am bringing back the Birthday Special! On a Personal Note
On a personal note, I am grateful to all of you for sticking with me during this transition. There are major shifts and currents going on for me, just as they are going on for you. (We're all in this together and what a ride it's been!) Just some thoughts on my journey:

In November 2012, I experienced Saturn conjunct my Sun in Scorpio. So many of us (especially me!) complain about how limiting Saturn is/can be. But this cycle has been beyond liberating for me. In this circumstance it is true for me what 'they' say about Saturn: if you do the work and pay your dues, Saturn really does reward generously. For me this is the end of a loooong 30-year cycle of old karmic patterns that are now shattered. It's time for a new form. I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area, and, as much as I loved the area, I had always felt landlocked and wanted to live somewhere else. I tried to accomplish this for literally 30 years but was always held back by limitations, burdens, family karma (Saturn in the 4th) etc. Moving here is my new, long-sought-after and hard-won FORM.
I am turning 50 in October and it seems that my mid-life breakthrough is coming via my Chiron Return at 50, not the Uranus Opposition at 40. All of my friends who are the same age are having similar mid-life crises at this age, none of us having had them at 40. Some have broken free now. Many are in process of doing so.
Since I mentioned being almost 50, I should say that Saturn isn't the only influence here. The Chiron Return occurs at 49-50. Would you believe me when I say that I moved in, I mean the day that I literally moved in here, was on the exact day of the first contact of my Chiron Return? March 22, 2014. I didn't plan it. Seriously...
Chiron is about healing. It's time for deep healing for ALL of us, on every level. It's been a looong battle and I am laying down my arms (like Mars in Libra, time to drop the sword). Maybe you are laying down your arms too. My natal Chiron is in Pisces of course (as transiting Chiron is traipsing through Pisces now). Pisces is water, ocean. We are all, one way or another, coming home to our true wholeness, which has after all been with us all along.
I want to thank all of you who have been with me on this journey (some of you since I first began typing words into this here internet machine back in 2003). We have helped each other to transform, sometimes just to survive, and always to transcend in consciousness. I could not imagine my life without all of you. You make my heart beat on.

March 30, 2014 - New Moon in Aries
 Ah, I've been away from these communiqués for so long, and there is sooo much going on in April 2014, I don't even know where to begin! So I will start at the very beginning: today we have the New Moon in Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the sign of Spring and new beginnings; and the new moon carries the energy of new beginnings as well. The New Moon in Aries is a very good place to start, every year as a matter of fact. And what is starting today is kind of like a heat-seeking missile. Sheesh, this month is crazy!

Mars Retrograde in Libra Continues
 Mars went retrograde on March 1, 2014, and it is now plowing into full-on retrograde territory. It will be retrograde through May 19, 2014. The total effect of Mars retrograde will be felt through the end of July, however. This is an unusually long stay in any given sign for Mars.
Not to mention that the Uranus-Pluto Square (5th contact of 7) occurs this month and it is turned into a T-Square and a Cardinal Cross due to the shenanigans of the backward-looking Warrior Planet (striving to be a peacemaker) during this tumultuous month.
The last time Mars was Retrograde was two years ago, from January 2012 through April 2012 - at that time it was in the sign of Virgo. In addition, it takes 15 years for Mars to return and be retrograde in the same part of the Zodiac. The last time it did a retrograde loop in this area of the zodiac (Libra) was from March 1999 at 12 Scorpio, to June 1999 at 24 Libra.

April 15, 2014 - Total Lunar Eclipse
This Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse will be seen over the United States. It is in the sign of Aries (Sun) and Libra (Moon)
Eclipse expert Fred Espanek brings to our attention the notable qualities of this eclipse:  "For people in the United States, an extraordinary series of lunar eclipses is about to begin. The action starts on April 15th when the full Moon passes through the amber shadow of Earth, producing a midnight eclipse visible across North America.
So begins a lunar eclipse TETRAD - a series of 4 consecutive total eclipses occurring at approximately six month intervals. The total eclipse of April 15, 2014, will be followed by another on Oct. 8, 2014, and another on April 4, 2015, and another on Sept. 28 2015. "The most unique thing about the 2014-2015 tetrad is that all of them are visible for all or parts of the USA." A TETRAD. Hm, that's the number 4, and brings to mind the TETRA-HEDRON, one of the basic building blocks of life regarding sacred geometry. Last year we had a beautiful Star of David in the heavens which was a Star Tetrahedron. The number 4 is also the number of the angels. A further dimension: there are 9 eclipse Tetrads in the 21st century, but from the years 1600-1900 there were none at all. So it's a kick-off to the new cycles of the unfolding age. Lunar Eclipses, especially Total Lunar Eclipses, are very emotional and tend to bring our focus into the body and into our subconscious. Deep emotions are being stirred as these four eclipses reveal and unreveal themselves. The TETRAD or FOUR is important - our attention is being drawn to it. April 20-21, 2014 - Cardinal Grand Cross
April 20 - Easter - Cardinal Grand Cross at 13 degrees of Aries-Libra-Cancer-Capricorn. (Mars in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn, with the historic Uranus-Pluto square perfecting the next day)
April 21 - Uranus Square Pluto 5th contact of 7 total. Because it is the 5th contact, it is associated with the Throat Chakra.
 I'm speechless. No, really. We haven't had a full-fledged Cardinal Cross since the Summer of 2010 when it first appeared on the scene, the signature configuration of our times. A cross in the sky in the signs that literally create the continuum in which we live. This configuration is contributing to the energetics of so much revolution and plutocracy in the world. Clash of the Titans, 21st century style.
On an individual level, this is like a stack of dynamite that can blow out all of your obstacles and blocks. The overall feeling is the desire to change, to make things happen. Your true self wants to burst forth into the world. The key thing with this kind of influence is to take it slowly, no sudden moves, all in good time. There is no need for rash action. The best way to use the energy is to allow the bursts to flow over you like waves, holding your center. Write down what you are inspired to do. Plenty of time to do it later. For now, just flow with it and ride the wave of energy. Also, make sure you are getting some physical movement into your life as well. This is a literal way to process all of this energy. April 29, 2014 - Annular Solar Eclipse
This New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse will be in the sign of Taurus.
 Eclipses always happen in pairs (sometimes in triplets, but always in pairs). This Solar Eclipse is the bookend of the April 15 Total Lunar Eclipse.
An Annular Solar Eclipse is a Ring of Fire eclipse, where the Moon covers the Sun but not completely (which would be a Total Solar Eclipse) leaving a glowing ring that looks like a hoop you can jump through.
This eclipse is the hoop we will jump through and out of the massive energetic month of April 2014. We will truly be different people as May 1st dawns.
