Our regular general PTO meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 6:30 PM in the gym.  We will replace our normal 6:30 teacher social with a special meeting to discuss the UIL sports issues.  Our new Trustee, Diana Davila, will not be able to attend this meeting, but we can use this time to answer questions, provide input we gathered from various sources, and formulate a plan for the next few weeks leading up to the March 10th board meeting.  

Whether your child is involved in UIL sports or not, this is a critical point for us as it is another attempt to pull apart magnet programs and force students back to their zoned schools.  They just happen to be using sports this time.

Please join us and support this fight to hold together our program.  Freshman, sophomores, and juniors should be especially concerned.  In addition to this planning sessions, Diane Overman is coming to talk to the 9 - 11 grade families about "What's New in College Admissions and How to Prepare your Child for the College Admissions Process."  So the evening has something for all!
