It has now been 34 days since it was first publicly announced that the City was considering moving Right 2 Dream Too a property at the intersection of SE Third Ave and Harrison St. Since then, there have been numerous meetings on the topic hosted by SE Uplift, Hosford-Abernethy Neighborhood District Association (HAND), and the Central Eastside Industrial Council (CEIC). Here is what we have been able to find out.

Increasing bicycling ridership is vital to maintaining and improving our city's livability. If we do not prioritize bicycle infrastructure investments in both connectivity and safety as we grow, we will be inundated with more traffic, more accidents, and more conflicts. The low-cost, high-benefit projects presented in this article represent just a few active transportation corridors worth advocating for.

New and returning neighborhood association board members are invited to join us for a lively and interactive training on board service. Topics will include an overview of Portland's community involvement system, SE Uplift's information sharing and advocacy models, board roles, responsibilities, and regulations, and solutions to common neighborhood association challenges.

At this month's SE Uplift Board meeting we will discuss R2DToo's possible move to the SE Industrial District with Commission Fritz and R2DToo representatives, consider policies and procedures for our Land Use Committee, appoint a representative to PBOT BAC, form a bylaws committee, and more. SE Uplift board meetings are open to the public and interested community members are welcome to attend.
