INCLUSIONARY HOUSING WORKSHOP
Watch The Video

Did you miss our workshop on inclusionary housing on April 27th? No worries, we've got you covered. You can watch the whole thing on video on our website. Special thanks to everyone who attended, all of the organizations and individuals who are working to address housing affordability, and our amazing speakers: Vivian Satterfield, Cameron Herrington, Jes Larson, and Tamara Lynne.

MAY 19TH IS ELECTION DAY
Here's Why It Matters

There's an election on the horizon. It's not as sexy as the 2016 Presidential Election but it's one where your vote really does count. The May 19th election will give voters a chance to elect representatives to our local School Board, Community College Board, and Education Service District. If you are like the 54% of registered voters in the Portland Public School District who didn't vote in the 2013 special election, you are likely asking yourself, "Who cares?"

TRENDS IN LAND USE
April Edition

The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is requesting funds for a Single Family Development Code project, which will assess the implications of code requirements on house design and development economics and how the scale and pattern of single family development varies across neighborhoods. If funded, this project could ultimately revamp the single dwelling development code and bring some much needed relief to neighborhoods exasperated by in-fill.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SE PORTLAND MURALS?
SE Uplift Grant Project Creating Interactive Map of Murals & Community Art

Part of Portland Street Art Alliance's new Art Fills the Void project is documenting as many pieces as possible of (legal) street art in the SE Uplift area for an interactive digital map. Help them find more murals and community art (particularly outside of inner /central SE) by sending them your tips and photos. Who knows, your favorite mural might just get featured in their printed brochure.

SE UPLIFT BOARD MEETING
May Agenda

At this month's SE Uplift Board meeting we will consider giving our Land Use Committee executive authority, learn about the current state of affordable housing in Portland and potential policies that could be put in place, discuss our future role in the street repair initiative, and more. SE Uplift board meetings are open to the public and interested community members are welcome to attend.
