TRENDS IN LAND USE
February Edition

Many of us fall in love with our homes and our neighborhoods because of how they where when we first experienced them. It is difficult for us to imagine what changes might take place over time. If we don't think about the potential for change in advance, when change occurs it can seem even more dramatic. A little zoning literacy, can go a long way towards envisioning and shaping our future neighborhoods. Have you looked at the zoning of your neighborhood?

GRAPHIC DESIGN MADE EASY

With this treasure trove of image resources, you will soon be posting images with everything you put out in the world.

THE JADE DISTRICT
Grants, Journalism, and Dumplings

The Jade District's Night Market caught the attention and attendance of nearly 20,000 Portlanders last summer and continues going strong with cultural events and activities through this spring. Whether you're just a fan of delicious dumplings or you want to support the diverse communities of SE Portland with community spirit and creative ideas, February is a great time to check out the eastern border of SE Uplift.

IN IT TOGETHER COMMUNITY SUMMIT
Impact Public Policy, Strengthen Relations, and Build Capacity

Portlanders are invited to attend a free day-long community summit that will discuss a range of issues, including dealing with vacant and squatter properties, community led public spaces, managing neighborhood growth and change, organizing to end profiling, aging in Portland, grant writing, raising the minimum wage, and more. The event, scheduled for February 28th, will be a fantastic opportunity to engage on current issues, hear success stories, and connect with community leaders.
