Seeds of SE Uplift: Volunteer Appreciation Week 2013!

Our volunteer appreciation program is called Seeds of Southeast Uplift. In recognition of  National Volunteer Appreciation Week Southeast Uplift made a special effort to acknowledge and celebrate the impact and power of volunteers in our community.

Five stories were shared during the week to highlight different neighborhoods, projects and people across our coalition. You will be inspired by what our creative and dedicated neighbors are making happen. Thank you to everyone who steps up in whatever way they can to make our community a better place for all of us.

Neighborhood Cleanups Continue!

Cleanup season rolls on with seven neighborhood cleanups on the schedule during the month of May.

Visit www.southeastuplift.org/cleanups to see the dates and locations. Neighborhood

Associations use their Cleanups to raise money for a variety of community projects - and you can contribute to those efforts by dropping off any and all unwanted bulky waste and hard to recycle items. Costs vary depending on neighborhood. All cleanup fees are less than fees associated with taking a load directly to the landfill. No hazardous materials will be accepted. Please reference your neighborhood website for materials accepted and the details of their event.

Need help finding a cleanup in your neighborhood? Please contact Ashe Urban [email protected] or call her at 503-232-0010 x.313.
