In the Neighborhood
Thank you ezStorage and MECU for contributing to our kid-focused activities at National Night Out. It was inspiring to see our young neighbors expressing their creativity and sharing their vision of the neighborhood.

"One Love"
We asked our young neighbors to 'paint the neighborhood' at National Night Out in Calvert Street Park.

What colors and symbols would you use to paint your neighborhood?
Greetings!

Welcome to the August 2015 newsletter! Here's a recap of what we've been up to this month and an introduction to old and new members of the St. Ambrose family.

The Intern Project
Over the years, St. Ambrose has welcomed interns, volunteers, and students to learn and collaborate with us in furthering the mission of St. Ambrose. This summer, we decided it was about time to reconnect with previous interns and find out where their paths led them after their time at St. Ambrose.

In honor of "Throwback Thursday," we're posting interviews with our former interns on the St. Ambrose blog. You can check out our first two throwbacks here: #tbt, and check back each Thursday through October 1st for more interviews with those who have been a part of St. Ambrose history.
Welcoming new Faces
Cheryl HintonController
We're pleased to welcome Baltimore native, Cheryl to our finance team. Cheryl has worked with non-profits in the past but this is her first time working as a CPA in-house for a non-profit organization. When asked what attracted her the most to St. Ambrose, she doesn't hesitate when she says, "the mission." Her first impression of St. Ambrose has been that it's a very warm and friendly environment, and she's looking forward to working together with St. Ambrose staff to make a difference in our community!
Grace Parker, Amercorps VISTA Volunteer
The St. Ambrose Foreclosure Prevention Department welcomes our new VISTA. During her year of service at St. Ambrose Grace is hoping to learn the ins and outs of non-
profits and get to know the non-profit community in Baltimore. Her first impression of St. Ambrose is that "everyone is really open to new ideas and very encouraging." Grace is excited about all of the great financial education opportunities the Foreclosure Prevention Department has for the community, and her personal goal this year is to increase outreach so that our neighbors know what great opportunities are available at St. Ambrose.
