Second Graders at Moravia Park Primary School share their love for Baltimore through art.

St. Ambrose stands in solidarity with Baltimore groups that have mobilized a quick response to the unrest in West Baltimore. Our immediate concern is for residents of West Baltimore to have the greatest say in decisions that will impact the future of their community. With 69 rental properties in the effected neighborhoods, our first priority is that our tenants have access to the necessary resources to ensure their safety and security.

As the city moves forward, we will continue to listen to community leaders, deliberate with partner organizations, and thoughtfully strategize how we can leverage our resources to aid our partners in West Baltimore. The local initiatives listed to the left span from reactionary, immediate assistance to strategies that address the underlying problems that are a threat to the well-being of Baltimore's neighborhoods. The collaboration among local groups during this time of need truly demonstrates Baltimore's strength and resilience.

Upcoming Workshops:
This year St. Ambrose has expanded our workshop offerings to better prepare and empower our clients to make educated financial decisions. Here are two opportunities coming up:

Post Purchase Education Workshops
Counselors from the Home Ownership Counseling department and Foreclosure Prevention department are teaming up for a two part workshop series designed for clients who have just bought their first home. This workshop focuses on topics such as maintenance and home repairs, and financial strategies for planning ahead and coping with hardships. The collaboration between home ownership counselors and foreclosure prevention counselors enables workshop participants to receive lessons from diverse perspectives to be best prepared for the responsibilities of home ownership.
Invest in Your Future Workshop: It's Back!
The next offering of the Financial Capability: Invest in your Future workshop series is here. The next class will begin in late June and run for five weeks. A big thank you to MECU for supporting the kickoff of this program. In the words of a participant from the first offering, "this workshop is dynamite!"

Are you interested in either of these workshops? Call Antoine 410-366-8550 x235.
