Celebration of NeighborWorks Week 2014
|
June is National Homeownership month and St. Ambrose is celebrating over 500 homes resurrected from vacant foreclosed properties. Over 137 of those homes are in Belair-Edison.
Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc., the City of Baltimore, Baltimore Housing Authority, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and our Congressional representatives have been strong advocates for continuing the American Dream in our City. These partnerships have helped attract new homeowners to the community and stabilized housing prices.
In recognition of these and other accomplishments, St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center brought together residents, corporate sponsors, government officials and community partners to celebrate NeighborWorks Week in Belair-Edison.

 | "I am grateful for the work that St. Ambrose does in the community. I wouldn't have been able to purchase my very first home without their knowledge and passion for improving neighborhoods and the people that live in them." - Cory Waiver

""My neighbors are the nicest people I've ever met in my life. They remind me of the 1950 communities where neighbors would bring you a pie just to say hello. I am looking forward to doing more to bring the community back to its former glory." Shanna Pinder Learn more about Ms. Pinder next month when we highlight our new Board Members. Both Cory and Shanna bought homes in Belair-Edison. |
