BDevlinRetires
After 26 years at St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, Brian is retiring!

We will miss him very much and look forward to hearing of his many adventures on the beaches of North Carolina and at his favorite fishing spots.  No, he will not share those with us.

Send Brian your best wishes, at briand@stambros.org.

Greetings!

Seems like we are all about change these days:
  • Changes in staff - some comings, some goings, some coming backs.
  • Changes in our space - experience the miracles of paint and hammers, nails and glass,
  • Changes in our programs - Legal Services now expanded

All to better serve our clients and be a more productive, professional resource to the Baltimore Metropolitan Region.

NeighborWorks Week 2013
NWWEEKwAGGAnsler
One of the highlights of this year's NW Week was the announcement by Attorney General Doug Gansler of $16.9 million in capital funding through the Mortgage Servicer's Settlement.

Awarded to agencies across Maryland,  this money will continue the neighborhood stabilization work being accomplished in Barclay and Harwood.  This type of funding is helping St. Ambrose turn this vacant into a valuable asset on Guilford.

Since 2003, St. Ambrose Housing Development has transformed 467 vacants into homes.  We are on target to hit 500 in 2014.

All things admin are under the
purview of Stacey Brown, Office Manager.  That is why we had to catch her on the run for this
photo on the right. She is
overseeing the cleaning,
greening and beautification of
our public spaces - reception
area, offices, conference rooms and starting in early July,
the Training Room in 317.

Expanded Legal Assistance

Sharon Martin, Legal Intern, discusses the legal ramifications of a case involving the latest real estate scams effecting our neighborhoods.

This winter, we warned about con artists claiming that properties belong to them and selling or renting them to the unsuspecting.  Our attorneys are seeing more and more of these cases.  Don't be a victim.
