Greetings!
How does a Maryland Marine, stationed overseas, whose home is at risk of foreclosure, get help from thousands of miles away? Answer: the internet.
Within 24 hours of the launch of our online intake system last month, that Marine became the first client to inquire about legal assistance online - all the way from Japan.
Legal Services is expanding. With more staff, increased outreach, and strategic use of technology - the program is here to serve.

A struggling grandmother had been raising her grandchild for the past 10 years - the father paid the mother child support, but not the grandmother. With just a little help from a St. Ambrose attorney the grandmother now receives payments, helping her to stay in her home to raise the child.
St. Ambrose's Legal program is committed to providing free legal assistance to qualified Maryland families. Our belief is that no family should have to choose between paying the utilities or a lawyer for access to civil justice. | Owen Jarvis, Staff Attorney |
Our mission is to solve legal problems that impact a family's ability to secure and sustain housing. Last year, we expanded our case acceptance policy beyond foreclosure to include: consumer debt, child support assistance, custody assistance, and bankruptcy advice.
