Half Iron / 70.3 Triathlon Training Class starts Saturday
If you'd like to take the class but cannot make it this Saturday, we can catch you up. Register for the class and send an e-mail to Coach Ken; after confirmation, we will send you the training plan and other handouts. This 5-month training program to prepare you for the Ironman 70.3 Racine Triathlon or the Door County Half Iron Triathlon on July 21. There will be an option for anyone planning on doing the Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon in Michigan on August 4. Even if you don't plan to do a Half Iron / 70.3 race, training for one will get you in great shape for your other races this year.
This training class includes the Wisconsin Half Marathon training class beginning in March and the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon training class beginning in May.

Sunday, February 24, 7:30am - Indoor Triathlon. 10 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 20 minute spin bike, 5 minute transition 15 min treadmill run. 1st wave at 7:30am. Overall & Age Group awards 3 deep. Goodie bag, raffle prizes, post-race refreshments.
Pre-registration required, no race day sign-up. 2/1-2/17: $40; 2/18-2/22: $45. Online registration at SignMeUp (closes on Feb 22).

Wisconsin Half Marathon Training
Train for the Wisconsin Half Marathon being held in Kenosha on May 4, 2013. This training program is designed for those who have been running regularly and maybe have entered a few 5K or 10K races, and are ready to move up to the half marathon distance, OR those who have done at least one half marathon and want to improve their finish time.

Training is geared towards new runners who want to run a 5K successfully. The key is in the recipe that includes a perfect blend of easy running days, long endurance runs, cross-training and rest.

March 24 Indoor Triathlon
10 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 20 minute spin bike, 5 minute transmission, 15 minute treadmill run.
April 28 Indoor/Outdoor Triathlon
400 yd/meter swim, 4 mile spin bike ride, 2.3 mile run around Lake Andrea.
