The 2013 Race Season is Here
Our first Indoor Triathlon is just a couple of weeks away, and we've already planned our running and triathlon training classes for the year. Again we will be focusing on the RecPlex Indoor Triathlons, the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, the Danskin Triathlon, the Wisconsin Half Marathon, and a few 5Ks. Also in the works - Half Iron/70.3 training for the Racine, Door County, and Steelhead races.

Thursday, January 17, 7pm - Drop-in for Tri Cycle Class, RecPlex Spin Studio. $10 RecPlex member; $15 non-member.Sunday, January 20, 7am - Drop-in for Indoor Tri Prep Workout. Mini-Triathlon Workout. Meet in the Water Park pool lanes at 7am. $10 RecPlex member; $15 non-member. Enter through the Family Changing Rooms. Sunday, January 20, 8:30am - Drop-in for Cycle, Run, Repeat (Brick) Class. Sunday, January 27 - Indoor Triathlon. 10 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 20 minute spin bike, 5 minute transition 15 min treadmill run. 1st wave at 7:30am. Overall & Age Group awards 3 deep. Goodie bag, raffle prizes, post-race refreshments.
Pre-registration required, no race day sign-up. $40 registration through January 20, $45 registration January 21-25. Online registration at SignMeUp (closes on January 25).

Wisconsin Half Marathon Training
Train for the Wisconsin Half Marathon being held in Kenosha on May 4, 2013. This training program is designed for those who have been running regularly and maybe have entered a few 5K or 10K races, and are ready to move up to the half marathon distance, OR those who have done at least one half marathon and want to improve their finish time.
Saturdays, 7:00-8:30am March 9 thru April 27 Fee: $89 RecPlex member, $99 Non-member More Info... 5K Training
Training is geared towards new runners who want to run a 5K successfully. The key is in the recipe that includes a perfect blend of easy running days, long endurance runs, cross-training and rest.

10 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 20 minute spin bike, 5 minute transmission, 15 minute treadmill run.
April 28 Indoor/Outdoor Triathlon
400 yd/meter swim, 4 mile spin bike ride, 2.3 mile run around Lake Andrea.
