RecPlex Run & Tri Club
The RecPlex Run & Tri Club is for those interested in running and multisport training and racing.  It is for beginners and newcomers as well as advanced athletes. Workouts and runs can be done at your own pace, so you don't have to worry about going too slow, or too fast.
  • Monthly Meeting & Seminar, followed by group run or workout - Monthly Calendar posted on the club web page 
  • Training Runs, Bike Rides, Swim Workouts
  • Coordination of members' workouts if you'd like some company
  • Monthly/Quarterly contests to keep you motivated 
  • Club tent at selected races
  • Private Facebook group for members to find a training partner, ride to a race, etc.
  • Discounts on running & triathlon gear 

Club dues: RecPlex Members: $15/quarter; Non-members $30/quarter.

Thursday, Oct 18, 7pm - Tri Cycle (drop-in).

This class focuses on specific cycling skill sets needed for optimal performance in the bike leg of Sprint and International distance triathlons. These include fixed interval sets, ladders, superspins, standing sprints, tempo sets, one-leg spinning drills, and recovery.

Drop-in Core pass: $10 RecPlex member, $15 non-member

 

Water Running Class Graphic Saturday, October 20, 7am - Running Water Class. Take you running shoes off & jump in the pool.  Great for runners who need to take a break from the pavement or are recovering from an injury.  The class aims to aid runners and athletes by offering a low impact cardiovascular and strength workout to enhance their current programs.  The class is also ideal for beginning runners as it allows them to perform their routines with minimal impact to their bodies & it can aid in recovery.

Run with the Turkeys 5K Saturday, October 20, 8:30am - 5K Run TrainingTraining is geared towards new runners who want to run a 5K successfully. The key is in the recipe that includes a perfect blend of easy running days, endurance runs, cross-training, a run/walk schedule, and rest days. Training class fee includes entry into the Run with the Turkeys 5K on November 17.

October 20 - November 10 

Saturdays: 8:30-9:30am 

Fee: $49 RecPlex member, $59 non-member
Note: no drop-in available for this class 

 

Cycle Studio Sunday, October 21, 8:30am - Cycle, Run, RepeatAerobic & anaerobic cycling workout plus run intervals.  For triathletes, this brick workout modification will help improve the anaerobic & muscular endurance you need for racing

Indoor Tri Run Sunday, October 28, 7am - Indoor Triathlon Prep Training. New to triathlons or ready to get a start on the 2013 race season? These workouts will prepare you for our Indoor Triathlons; each session will cover aspects of the Indoor Tri's swim, bike, run & transitions. At the end of your session you'll compete in one of our races. Training class fee includes entry into the Turkey Indoor Triathlon on November 18.
