Riviera Beach Council Candidate Forum: Thursday, February 12th, SICA hosted the candidates running for Riviera Beach City Council to have a chance to talk about important issues prior to the Tuesday, March 10th, election. SICA's role is to provide this opportunity for its membership to become better informed, as voters, in the upcoming election.
Incumbent, Judy Davis, and candidate, KaShamba Miller each gave opening statements, answered randomly drawn questions on issues important to Island residents and finished with closing statements. Dawn Pardo, was also in attendance, but did not participate in the forum as she is re-elected, running unopposed. Dawn did have an opportunity to address the OIG report... as did Judy and KaShamba.
The meeting was well attended and had active engagement with the candidates. Attendees could submit written questions or also had an opportunity to ask questions from the floor. All City Council members including the Mayor and CRA director, Tony Brown, were present for this meeting and were given the opportunity to address the audience.
Thank you to the candidates for their participation and to the membership for participating in this important event.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE on TUESDAY, MARCH 10th.
