From: Marianne W,

Just a note to let you know what a great job SICA has been doing for the past several years in representing the interest of the Island.  I just signed up to get alerts via email; would be happy to get the newsletter via email as well to help keep down the costs. Again, you're all doing a great job - really appreciated all the updates in the most recent newsletter and have been encouraging friends to join.

From: Kwieman,
I like your publication, very informative. The best solution for beach erosion was the breakwater project that was fully funded and ready to go. The recent army of seawalls that were built with be the death of Singer Island beaches in 5 or 10 years,

From new neighbors: Michael & Alex in Toronto,

Thank you for your update.  The SICA is new to us since my wife & I have only become a Palm Beach Shores vacation homeowners in January 2014.  We are impressed with the information sharing & the web site & we look forward to hearing more about your plans & appreciate the local information (& the webcam of the inlet & the beach).

From: Laurie D in Palm Beach Isles,
Thank you once again for a well written up to date newsletter.  What is going on with this Lozman's Cove site?  It looks terrible after all the nice looking work that has been done to Singer Island roadways. I have even seen a jeep parked on that property.  The hedges are dying.  They should have been a lot taller so people don't have to see that mess.

From: Claire G,

As a Singer Island resident and taxpayer I have long enjoyed the fantastic beaches on our island.  Recently I have been informed that the Marriott Singer Island Resort and Spa along with the company that rents cabanas and chairs in front of the Resort (as well as the beach in front of the Pink timeshare just to the south of the public beach), have been insisting that the beaches are private and that beach goers using their private chairs cannot sit on the sand in front of either building. I thought that Florida beaches were public property and that this type of restrictive behavior was not allowed.  Would you please advise?

Please keep sending in your input to be shared here next week
with over 1302 of your neighbors and your Singer Island Civic Association WILL stay on these issues.
