What Can't Be Paid, Won't Be Paid--Not Even to Government Pension Funds

 "A federal bankruptcy judge on Wednesday upended the widely held belief that public workers' pensions have a special status in California that makes them impossible to cut, further chipping away at the idea that pensions are sacrosanct in a municipal bankruptcy."

The judge ruled against the sanctity of CalPERS pensions and declared the CalPERS liens on the city of Stockton, California to be null and void.

What's that mean?

It means that a federal judge has ruled that a government-albeit the relatively small government of the city of Stockton California-that's bankrupt, doesn't have to pay its debts-not even to California government workers now on CalPERS pensions.

The judge implicitly acknowledged what I've been saying for years:  Government debt is too great to be paid.  What can't be paid, won't be paid.  If the Stockton government is bankrupt, even debts owed to government pensions must be rendered void.

*  On a national level, the City of Stockton ruling is at least consistent with the observation that, as the value of the dollar rises, the real value of the National Debt also rises, the government's ability to repay its falls and hastens a moment (like that in Stockton, California) when an overly-indebted government must repudiate its debts. 

When that moment arrives, creditors (in this case, former government employees) holding their wealth in the form of paper debt instruments denominated in fiat dollars (in this case CalPER's pension funds) will lose their assets.

Sooner or later, the same drama we see in Stockton, California, is going to play out on the national level.  Unable to repay the National Debt, the federal government will have to admit it's insolvent and, either by means of hyperinflation or open repudiation, the government will have to admit and declare that its debts are void and the correlative debt instruments (US bonds, So-So Security, government pensions, etc.) are worthless or at least significantly devalued.

In the meantime, while we wait for the stuff to strike the fan on the national level, highly-indebted state and local governments that are going broke under the growing weight (purchasing power) of fiat dollars, will be increasingly allowed and even forced to declare bankruptcy and repudiate their debts.  When they do, their creditor will lose their assets just as the former municipal workers for Stockton California are losing theirs.

Stories like Stockton's are bits of evidence that a moment when even the federal government repudiates the national debt is on the horizon and approaching with some speed.

Remedy?  Get your wealth into something other than paper-debt instruments.  Get your wealth into something whose value cannot be repudiated by government.  Get your wealth into something tangible like gold or silver.

No Corporate Escape from Federal Taxes

The Associated Press published "US cracks down on companies moving overseas".  In that article, they reported that,

" The Obama administration cracked down Monday on certain overseas corporate mergers and acquisitions, aiming to curb American companies from shifting their ownership abroad to shirk paying U.S. taxes.

New regulations from the Treasury Department will make these co-called corporate inversions less lucrative by barring creative techniques that companies use to lower their tax bill. Additionally, the U.S. will make it harder for companies to move overseas in the first place by tightening the ownership requirements they must meet.

"This action will significantly diminish the ability of inverted companies to escape U.S. taxation," Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said. He added that for some companies considering inversions, the new measures would mean inverting would "no longer make economic sense."

Hmph. 

So, . . . after 20 years of enacting NAFTA, GATT and other global free trade treaties to allow, encourage and even force US corporations to relocate their industrial factories and jobs overseas, the government is now reversing course.

Originally, government didn't mind that global free trade would diminish America's industrial base, cost American jobs, and lower the American people's standard of living.  After all, it's not as if the government has any responsibility for the prosperity of average Americans. 

But now, there's been a dramatic and unforeseen complication:  allowing US companies to emigrate to foreign countries has not merely reduced the jobs, wages and standard of living for the great unwashed-it's even cutting into government revenues! 

O . . .M . . .G!

Who'd've thunk it, hmm?! 

What economist could possibly have had brains enough to predict that if we signed NAFTA, GATT and other global free trade treaties and thereby virtually forced American industries to relocate to Mexico, China or Bangladesh, we'd not only destroy the American people's standard of living but also reduce government revenue? 

Why, it would've taken a legitimate psychic, prophet, a medium who could speak to spooks to have predicted that Global Free Trade would destroy the American Dream and the standard of living-wouldn't it?

Well, the government is now aware of this unexpected, "black swan" consequence, and making the necessary corrections.  Of course, government doesn't intend to bring back our industries or jobs to help the American people.  No.  But government does plan to prevent corporate headquarters, corporate profits, and corporate tax revenues from also leaving for foreign shores. 

Why?  Because, here in the "Land of the Free," our most important product is big government.  Therefore, we must not only revere big government, we must fund big government-no matter what.

Therefore, while government can routinely screw over the American people, government, itself, must be protected from the consequences of its own fornication.  Thus, big corporations can move their industrial facilities and jobs overseas, but not their corporate headquarters.  Corporations can still make products with cheap labor in China in order to maximize their profits in the US, but they have to keep their corporate profits in the US where they can be taxed to support our beloved US government.

"Global free trade" means that corporations can ship the American people's jobs overseas, but not their taxable revenues.

Government of the people, by the government and for the benefit of big government.  That's the new American credo.

Work Ethic vs Pay Ethic

Yahoo! News reported in "Boehner says unemployed 'don't really want' jobs. How bad a gaffe for GOP?," that:

"The Republican Party's top leader in Congress is catching flak for a comment that appears to call the jobless lazy - a comment that has rekindled an old challenge for the party: appearing insensitive or uncaring toward Americans who are poor or in financial difficulty."

Goodness know that politicians can't "appear insensitive or uncaring".  Like Bill Clinton (a multimillionaire), all politicians must "feel the pain" of the less fortunate.

"House Speaker John Boehner was asked after a speech last week to comment on a plan for addressing poverty - promoted by a Republican colleague, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.

"Speaker Boehner gave a response that was favorable toward Representative Ryan's plan, but not so favorable about Americans' work ethic. He said in part: "I think this idea that's been born over last . . . couple of years that, 'You know, I really don't have to work, I don't really want to do this, I think I'd just rather sit around,'-this is a very sick idea for our country."

Representative Boehner was right.  The unemployed are lazy and generally don't want jobs.

But, then, it's not just the unemployed who don't want jobs-neither do most of those who have jobs. 

After all, if everyone wanted jobs, why would employers have to pay them?   If work was so much fun, why don't employees pay the employers for the "privilege" of working?

Employers pay employees because virtually none of us really wants to get up, go to work, deal with a bunch of idiots and come home at night too tired to watch Dancing WithThe Stars.  Very few of us really want the obligations of a steady job.

We do, however, want the pay.  Therefore, as long as the employer keeps paying, we accept the job-even if we don't actually want that job.  As long as we love the pay more than we hate the job, we go to work.  That's the real "work ethic". 

*  But, being lazy and not wanting a job isn't confined to the unemployed, the poor or even most employees-that sentiment is even shared by politicians like Mr. Boehner.

When Congressman Boehner starts criticizing the unemployed for being lazy, what about all the Congressmen who are elected to represent their constituents but don't even read the legislation that they vote for or against?  Isn't reading the proposed legislation a big part of the legislators' job?   Isn't the failure by Congress to read the legislation it votes on, evidence of same laziness, poor "work ethic" in Congress that Representative Boehner finds so shameful among the unemployed?

It would be interesting to know how many proposed bills Congressman Boehner has actually read during his career and how many bills he voted for or against, without reading them.  If we had that information, we'd have a good indication of Representative Boehner's personal "work ethic".

*  And finally, if the employed don't generally want the jobs they have, and the unemployed don't want the jobs they might be available, it's also true the employers don't generally want to pay their employees a wage that's sufficient to support the American dream.   In fact, employers hate paying their employees just as much as their employees hate going to work.

All of which suggests that if Representative Boehner would like to improve the work ethic of the unemployed, maybe he should also improve the employers' "pay ethic" .

Maybe, employees would demonstrate a better "work ethic" if employers demonstrated a better "pay ethic".  Maybe, American worker would be more interested in working if they weren't condemned to work for 3^rd world wages thanks to global free trade, reduced American tariffs, outsourcing some jobs and moving industries and high-paying industrial jobs to 3^rd world countries-and leaving nothing behind for American workers but low paying jobs that no one wants but the invading hoard of illegal aliens.

The "work ethic" does not exist in a vacuum.  People work hard in return for good pay.  When government reduced the American corporations' "pay ethic" by promoting "global free trade" and encouraging the invasion by illegal aliens, government also reduced the American workers' "work ethic". 

I'm not here to advocate more welfare or raising the minimum wage.  I'm not necessarily against those ideas, but they only address symptoms-they don't provide economic solutions.

By choosing to drop our tariffs and force American workers to compete head-on with cheap foreign labor-by choosing to not enforce our borders against illegal aliens-the government (acting on behalf of multi-national corporations) absolved multi-national corporations from the obligation to pay American workers a fair wage.  Here in the US, many American workers are no longer "worthy of his hire".  The competition for jobs is so fierce and the pay so low, that the American work ethic is being replaced by the American welfare ethic.

  When the government absolved multi-national corporations from paying American workers a living wage, they also absolved many of those workers from any moral obligation to maintain a "work ethic". 

Insofar as Representative Boehner has allowed global free trade and an invasion by illegal aliens, he played an active role in helping to reduce the corporate employers' "pay ethic".  Boehner, therefore, has no right to criticize the employees' loss of "work ethic".

A workman is worthy of his hire.  If a man earns $1,000 for an employer is it fair and moral to pay that worker $500?  Or is it smart to pay that worker just $50 because jobs are scarce, competition for pay is so high that workers do the job for $50?   

Just because workers are so desperate for any job, that they'll work for a pittance doesn't mean that employers paying a pittance is smart economically or morally.

Employees are morally obligated to give a full day's work for a full day's pay. 

But, employers are also morally obligated to provide a full day's pay-enough for a man and couple of dependents to live on each day-for a full day's work.

The "work ethic" and the "pay ethic" are two sides of the same coin.

When government laws allow or compel employers to abandon their "pay ethic" and employees to abandon their "work ethic," what sort of future can we predict for the US economy?

Somewhere along the line, the public needs to recognize that our problems with "work ethic" and "pay ethic" may not be primarily attributable to lazy employees or to greedy employers, but might be attributable to government laws favoring global free trade and the uninhibited invasion of illegal aliens.

It is known far and wide now that diseases have been brought over our borders through this massive 'illegal alien' entourage being bused in organized fashion through out our country, all at the hands of the Obama administration. We are seeing the introduction of diseases into our population that are maiming and killing people everywhere.

Think of the mysterious respiratory disease/virus that is acting similar to polio affecting our children and leading to paralysis called EVD 68.  The CDC is saying this is quickly becoming a nationwide epidemic. Back in February 2014 at least 25 children in California came down with this polio like EVD 68. This is growing huge and a national emergency in itself. All this can be thrown at the feet of the 'disease flame thrower' Barack Obama. It is everywhere and a very common disease all through out South America. It is very serious and deadly.

Now, ISIS - that we are pretending to attack, is bringing in their version of suicide bombers through out America. According to the breaking research of Whalid and Ted Shoebat, (regular guests of my national radio show), ISIS is planning to bring in people through out America infected with EBOLA. They are most likely already peppered throughout many cities now.

Forget suicide bombers with explosives attached to them. They have evolved to the next level now. ISIS might as well join the disease party, so by Christmas we can have a nice variety package of destruction and horror...lets see, EVD 68, EBOLA, TB and Scabies. Anyone want some bloody slush with your Christmas Hors D Oeuvres?

...And what is the purpose of all this disease, lack of protection and border security??? It appears to be potentially the 'full meal deal' for Obama and his goals. 1) Establish over the next few years mindless, dependent and UN American foreign voters and supporters for Obama and his goals. 2) Punish America for her achievements by riddling her with diseases and maiming her children. 3) Create a guise to declare Marshal law due to created outbreaks. Control speech, food, travel and health care. 4) Demand adults and children take some sort of mandated /mystery vaccination that kills off even more people.

My prediction is that a forced vaccination plan from Obama and his administration is on its way. This will not only allow someone put in control (so Obama can't be blamed) to release something potentially fatal into our system, but also act as a tracker - the complete end of our privacy and freedom.

We must stop all flights from disease-infested countries now. We must quarantine exposed people and deport all illegal aliens that have purposely been positioned everywhere to spread disease and hide in plane sight. It is treason that they and their diseases have been sent to America's schools and communities nationwide.

We must win back the HOUSE, take back the SENATE, then move boldly forward with impeaching and convicting Obama before more die and are turned into cattle in shoots awaiting slaughter.

For those who actually believe in the real God of the Holy Bible and His power and promises for believers...start praying Psalm 91 protection over our country and your family. I have heard of countless and miraculous testimonies for years of people who have spoken forth this Psalm and believed it as the protection covenant of God for his people. I pray it daily for myself and family. Notice just part of the endless protections in this Psalm includes protection against pestilence and plagues. Take it, own it, believe it and thank God for it, while we figure out our battle plans of survival against this regime from hell. God is in control, not Obama.

IMF Cuts Global Outlook as 'Frothy' Stocks Raise Correction Risk

The International Monetary Fund cut its outlook for global growth in 2015 and warned about the risks of rising geopolitical tensions and a financial-market correction as stocks reach "frothy" levels.

The world economy will grow 3.8 percent next year, compared with a July forecast for 4 percent, after a 3.3 percent expansion this year, the Washington-based IMF said. U.S. growth is helping lead a worldwide acceleration that's weaker than the fund predicted 2 1/2 months ago as the outlooks for the euro area, Brazil, Russia and Japan deteriorate. 

"In advanced economies, the legacies of the precrisis boom and the subsequent crisis, including high private and public debt, still cast a shadow on the recovery," the IMF said in its latest World Economic Outlook. "Emerging markets are adjusting to rates of economic growth lower than those reached in the precrisis boom and the postcrisis recovery."

The outlook buttressed the case made by IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, who warned last week that officials need to act to prevent a prolonged period of sluggish growth, a trend she called the "New Mediocre." Raising growth in emerging and advanced economies "must remain a priority," the IMF report stated. 

[How will they "raise growth" on a global level without inflating one or more of the world's fiat currencies?

Because Quantitative Easing is ending, the dollar is no longer inflating.  Judging from the US$X, the dollar is actually deflating. 

Two things happen when a currency deflates: 

1) the burden of debt grows because you are paying your debts with more expensive dollars; and

2) deflation is either a cause or characteristic of economic depression.

If the dollar is allowed (or caused) to deflate, the national debt will grow in terms of purchasing powers and become increasingly difficult for the US to repay.  Sooner or later, persistent deflation will make it impossible for the national debt to be repaid in full.  Once the government openly defaults on parts of the National Debt, the value of US bonds should fall dramatically, and the US dollar may be replaced in some sort of "reset".

If the dollar is allowed (or caused) to deflate, the US economy should slow and perhaps slide into an economic depression.

Unless the government wants the national debt to be repudiated-unless the government wants a national depression-the government should do whatever it can to increase the forces of inflation. 

What can government do to increase inflation besides print more fiat dollars or raise the interest rate? 

Most people pretty much understand that printing more fiat dollars will (or at least should) contribute to inflation.

Most people do not understand that raising interest rates should also contribute to inflation. 

I.e., as interest rates fall in the US, creditors don't want to lend into the US because they can't make a profit.  Therefore they lend to foreign borrowers that pay higher interest rates.  We've seen this effect since the 2008 Great Recession in that interest rates fell from about 5% in A.D. 2007 to about 0.6% in A.D. 2009 to 0.25% today. 

While low interest rates were supposed to encourage ordinary American to take out loans to buy cars or new homes, the actual effect was to drive US dollars overseas where they sparked an economic boom in "Emerging Economies" of the 3^rd World.

As currency flowed out of the US, the net effect of low interest rates was to reduce the national money supply and thereby contribute to deflation and even a slowing economy.

Conversely, if and when the Federal Reserve decides to start raising US interest rates, creditors should be more inclined to lend into the US markets, dollars should flow from the "Emerging Economies" back into the US, the supply of currency within the US should rise and therefore contribute to inflation-a stimulated economy-and a rising price for gold.

 The US national debt has doubled during the Obama administration.  This doubling is evidence of the government's unsuccessful attempts to print trillions of fiat dollars and inject them into the economy to provide "stimulation".  That attempt at "stimulus" succeeded only in maintaining a stagnant economy.  We did not see the stimulating inflation government had expected.

Instead, much of the newly-created dollars flowed overseas to escape low interest rates.  The government and Federal Reserve have apparently learned their lesson that simply printing more fiat dollars does not contribute to sufficient increases in inflation to stimulate the economy.

If so, this implies that "lesson" of the past five or six years is that the interest rate may be more important than the production of fiat currency.  Therefore, if the government wants or needs higher rates of inflation to cut the national debt and stimulate the economy, the government must raise interest rates.   

My guess is that soon after this November's election-perhaps as early as December, but probably no later than the first quarter of A.D. 2015, the Federal Reserve will begin to raise interest rates, attract currency back into the US markets, and thereby cause inflation and economic "stimulus".

The big question is the National Debt.  Which phenomenon causes the National Debt to grow and become more likely to default?  High interest rates-which increase the cost of further government borrowing?  Or deflation-which increases the true size (purchasing power) of the National Debt's principle?

Is government more interested in reducing the interest rates and the cost of borrowing?  Or is the government more interested in reducing the actual size of the principle of the National Debt by causing inflation that allows the debt to be repaid with cheaper dollars.

I don't know, but it's a subject I intend to research over the next few weeks.  But, for now, it appears to me that the government can't reduce the true size of the National Debt by inflation, and can't stand to pay increased borrowing costs caused increasingly interest rates. 

I suspect that the government is caught between the "rock" (growth in the size of the principal of National Debt fostered by deflation) and the "hard place" (growth in the amount of interest paid on the national debt).  I suspect that the National Debt is already so enormous that the government can't afford to pay the principle or the interest on that debt.  I suspect that the government is already so broke that it can't afford to pay reasonable interest rates on current or future loans.  And, because the economy is still slow, government revenues are down.

That constellation of financial facts tells me that can't pay the existing debt, can't borrow more money from the free markets, and can't collect enough tax revenues to keep functioning.  If so, government must be near a point where it will be unable to continue to provide the same levels of benefits, entitlements, welfare, subsidies, services and pensions that it has in the past.

If the government can't afford to pay the principal or rising interest on the National Debt, then we may be reaching that moment when much of the National Debt must be openly repudiated. 

If and when that happens, those people and institutions that have invested their wealth in US bonds will lose their assets, the world may lose confidence in all fiat currencies, and the world will come screaming back to buy some gold.]

BREAKING DOWN THE MEANING

The viruses that cause hemorrhagic fever are distinct and cause destruction on multi-levels of the body. What this means is there isn't one system that can fail it is multiple systems that can fail. When we look at the Ebola strain the virus likes to attack the vascular system first. The virus will attempt to take out the system that transports life (blood), which supports organs, lungs, brain and immune system. If the virus is successful at disrupting vascular function it moves to weaponizing the blood itself by disabling the clotting mechanism. 

SYMPTOMS

Over a million Americans are searching for answers on Ebola on the CDC's web site. What Americans are reading is that there are no known treatments. Victims of Ebola will show symptoms that could be misdiagnosed as the flu. This could cause an overreaction when a person has symptoms of a fever, fatigue, dizziness, muscle aches, loss of strength etc. People with the flu could find themselves quarantined with Ebola patients and contract the disease. By the time medical staff run lab tests could be too late to remove the flu patient from contact with other Ebola quarantined patients.

RESEARCH

According to Green MedInfo there has been some research on finding a treatment for Ebola using natural sources. I think anyone would be willing to try anything when a virus inflicts an 83% mortality rate. There are five Ebola viruses science knows about and one of them can infect humans. This is considered a zoonotic disease originating in animals (monkeys & fruit bats). According to Green MedInfo an investigative report suggested that the Ebola virus is transmissible via the air without direct contact. In 2012, pigs and monkeys were placed in separate cages avoiding direct contact. According to Dr. Gary Kobinger of the National Microbiology Laboratory Public Health Agency in Canada, the animals were infected by the disease through large droplets suspended in the air. This would explain why people are becoming infected even with protective gear thinking they were safe from the direct contact.

"What we suspect is happening is large droplets; they can stay in the air, but not long; and they don't go far. But they can be absorbed in the airway, and this is how the infection starts, and this is what we think, because we saw a lot of evidence in the lungs of the non-human primates that the virus got in that way. The thought of airborne transmission of Ebola is pretty frightening." Dr. Gary Kobinger, Microbiologist

Microbiologist Kobinger thinks the droplets don't travel far but that would depend on the environment. If a burst of air from an air conditioning vent can push water or blood droplets, it can certainly transport viral droplets. Now, think of a confined area with forced circulation of air such as on an airplane, a bus or subway. It would also appear that the CDC, WHO and other top government agencies knew that the Ebola is transmitted by air as early as 2012 when BBC did a report on the research from the Canadian scientists. They knew. With a virus that kills 50% to 90% of its victims, ask why would a government hide the truth and not close its borders to the risk of massive infection? The only answers would be negligence or genocide. Time will tell if this particular strain of Ebola has been modified to infect a specific race of people.

EBOLA CAUSES CELL FRAILTY

The Ebola virus is different from other viruses as it does not enter the host cell and replicate. This disease causes a frailty in cell walls and capillaries. The cells lose their integrity when they lose vitamin C and collapse and hemorrhaging will result. Ebola goes on to attack the blood cell platelets, which are responsible for stopping hemorrhaging by clotting. Old wounds or scars have the capability of severe capillary frailty and can start to bleed. With Ebola the depletion of vitamin C happens so rapidly that it produces what doctors call an advanced state of scurvy in a matter of days instead of weeks. With hemorrhagic fevers such as scurvy and Ebola they are diseases which attach the life source - the blood. The blood delivers antibodies to fight infections and if the cells can't hold their shape, there is massive bleeding; no clotting and the antibodies cannot be effective at fighting the virus. Diseases such as these are more deadly in regions with malnourished populations.

NATURAL COMPOUND

In 2012, the Journal of Archives of Virology printed research regarding the use of genistein compounds inhibiting the Ebola virus. The research was done at the University of Texas Medical Branch investigating these natural inhibitors found in natural plant compounds. The pharmaceutical industry makes tyrophostin (an inhibitor to fight ovarian cancer) from genistein. You will find natural genistein (isoflavones) in legumes; fava beans, soy (non-fermented), coffee and kudzu roots. This may have been the treatment the Americans received after returning from Africa and were able to recover. Research shows that the isoflavones are also excellent for heart disease and cancer issues.

Genistein is technically a phytoestrogen of the isoflavone category. It was first discovered in 1899 from a plant called Dyer's Broom (Genista Tinctoria). Genistein was chemically synthesized in 1928. The Isoflavoines are the bitter compounds in herbs. It is important that they are accompanied by aromatic compounds (oils & fatty acids), saponins and alkaloids. This will give the isoflavones more power within the body and your herbs will naturally contain these nutrients. Herbs containing genistein isoflavones are:

BREAK THE SILENCE

It wouldn't hurt to have several natural solutions to combat a virus medical science won't cure. If you see the documentary on PBS filmed this past summer in West Africa you see that the WHO physicians are not giving the patients brought in with Ebola anything except water and drugs to stop the vomiting to prevent dehydration. They know all about this virus; how many proteins it has, how it enters the cell, how it spreads and how it depletes victims of nutrients like vitamin C and they know that genistein isoflavones inhibit the virus - yet they don't give any nutritional support to the Ebola victims in Africa and possibly in the US.
