Ahhh...loopholes. When faced with a daunting task, many of our students, and if we are honest, many of us, look for a loophole. We try to find a shortcut. Certainly, there must be an easier way to accomplish whatever task has been set before us. It makes you wonder how Jesus must have felt as he approached his crucifixion. There were no loopholes for him to get out of what had to be done. There was no shortcut. There was only one punishment that could be administered that would result in our eternal salvation. He had to die on the cross. And because he died on that cross, we are saved. What a debt he paid for us. And he paid it in full. There is nothing that we can to do - except acknowledge that it is by grace we have been saved through faith in Christ Jesus and his death and resurrection.

"Upon the cross extended See, world, your Lord suspended
Your Savior yields His breath.
The Prince of Life from heaven Himself has freely given
To shame and blows and bitter death." (LSB 453)

CWUChurch Worker Update (CWU) System/CMIF/LUTHED
All Rostered church workers (Ordained and Commissioned) have been notified of the changes to the Church Worker Update (CWU) system

ALL sections of their CMIF must be completed before we can release it. Please do not submit your CMIF unless it is complete. Please share this with your staff.

An email has been sent to all Rostered workers who we have email addresses for and a hard-copy mailing is going out to those who we do not have an email for or whom have requested a paper form of the yearly update. Thus, all workers will be notified shortly that it is time to update their information in the new CWU system.

The LEIF is no long in existence. It has been replaced by the CMIF - Commissioned Minister Information Form.

To update/complete your CMIF, go to the following link and follow the prompts - https://cwu.lcms.org/

Encourage your faculty to do this and then on an annual basis.
