Thank you to all who have offered prayers and congratulations on the birth of my daughter, June. My wife, Megan, and son, James, are doing well. As I look at my daughter, I notice the differences between her and James at that age. June's fingers and toes are much longer. James had much less hair. June sleeps. James didn't. When I get lost looking at my daughter, my mind cannot comprehend the beauty of life that God has created. He knew my daughter before she was formed in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He knows the number of hairs on her head (Luke 12:7). She was born sinful, yet God sent His Son to die for her (John 3:16). You do not need to have children of your own to be awestruck by these promises. That student who is constantly in your office? God created that child. That parent who is always complaining? God knows the number of hairs on her head too. The students in your building - good, bad, or otherwise - Jesus died for all of them. Viewing our life through these promises, one cannot help but to be humbled by the majesty of our God.
Chris
